To be honest I am not sure why doesn't more Zergs do pushes like these against Protoss. They tend to overmake Roaches that are just food for Immortals and skip Banelings completely. The only reason Zergs weren't using Banes before against Protoss are force fields and now that we have Ravagers I really don't see the reason for not using them.

who invented Mvp?

It's how I would play Minecraft. Start a project that's way too big for me to complete alone in a reasonable time span, give up after a short time, delegate to someone else or just bury the whole thing and never play the game again.

No, those 10+ didn't do anything really, maybe got adept or 2 but that's it, if those killed what they were supposed to it would've been over 3 minutes before the game actually ended.

Look, Mvp exists. He's the best player in SC2 history. Maru can't be the best terran unless he's also the best ever player period. He's a few GSLs away from contention.

As of right now it's TY without any sort of argument
Maru is arguably the only terran who could overcome Mvp, or really make a dent into the current terran GOATs, but even that's super unlikely just because he's not a big individual league player on the scale of Mvp/Life or even Zest.

Maru is four years younger than INnoVation. Presuming sc2 goes that long, it gives Maru a huge lead over any other terran; INno would need to win something like 2 big events a year to have any hope of overcoming Mvp.

Mvp won a GSL when protoss were dominant and made another finals during BL/infestor. The metagame was constantly changing around him. Not sure how that was the most stable version of sc2

He won a billion GSL against MKP, TOP and the likes when there was a lot of terrans in the GSL. After that he scrapped some wins but wasn't really scary. Him being scary was during the terran era.

Last season he didn't lose a single map vs protoss in Code S, even 4-0ing Dear. Today he just played poorly with the same build every time, it's like he didn't prepare at all.
Probably slumped down because of Taeja knocking him out of GSL. In 2014 Zest was probably the best player in the world until he was eliminated from Blizzcon and he just slumped down from there.

We live in a world where Patience makes Blizzcon. On the back of his performances in Korean leagues. Wow.
Patience is a big dark horse not only for an SSL championship, but also going into Blizzcon. Goddamn.

It was his only match against Protoss. Also he was already playing poorly by the time TaeJa eliminated him so that's not where a slump would have started.
Not really, he was looking strong through the groups so far. He started playing really badly when he lost that one game to Ryung and it cost him the tourney.

He played awful against Ryung before he played awful against TaeJa.

I just said that. He lost one game to Ryung triple proxy rax (strangelly enough that one map cost him the tourney) and then just played badly from there.

So his "slump" has nothing to do with losing to TaeJa in particular.

he just isn't very good
Last season he didn't lose a single map vs protoss in Code S, even 4-0ing Dear. Today he just played poorly with the same build every time, it's like he didn't prepare at all.
Probably slumped down because of Taeja knocking him out of GSL. In 2014 Zest was probably the best player in the world until he was eliminated from Blizzcon and he just slumped down from there.
Zest didn't play well. But neither did Patience play significantly better. PvP is silly. Yes, the better player won - in what looks like a fight where both fighters'' hands are tied behind their backs.

Losing to Ryung tilted him and then losing to Taeja was just ruined him further. It's like the same when he lost to Life a couple years ago after everyone saying he's gonna take Blizzcon, the next 6 months was just bad play.
I mean you really can't compare what he did in season 1 when he just looked unstoppable, now his momentum is crushed and he's playing like he doesn't even care. Like opening double oracle and getting now damage done every time.

Didn't he after Blizzcon get top 4 immediately in the next tournament he played in (Hot6ix Cup)? I think he only really started slumping in 2015.

I'd say it was a start of a slump.
Actually I looked back at the matches and I think zest was slumping. That or zest was always bad at PvT at HotS. He prepared well, but did not seem to be on top of the games that he was not prepared

First game excepting Patience played significantly better to the where if the tags were reversed people would be going on about how Zest is back in form
KT is preparing to get rekt by SKT. Zest carried them so hard on the past, I don't think TY can shoulder that weight.
But zest is a brilliant player, one of the best ever. And he has the mentality to come back. It's not like there are is ton of new blood pushing in, anyway. At least he was great before the adept, or I'd disrespect him so hard.

Patience wins SSL and Blizzcon - "wtf that guy can only mass adepts"
In response, Blizzard proposes the following balance changes: 1. Zerg and Terran can no longer produce anything other than harvesters. 2. Adepts can now mine minerals. Adept shields increased. Shade cooldown decreased. Adepts gain new ability to turn into warp prisms. Warp prism pickup range increased.

I'm absolutely amazed that no one has thrown around the immortal words "patch toss"
probably because he hasn't won anything yet and that although KR balance shifts heavily towards toss, it's very unclear overall if P is really broken. Don't get me wrong, I'd definitely like to see an adept nerf, but you won't convince me that either PvT or PvZ are seriously broken atm.

The day when Myungsik or Patience wins a Starleague, that's when it'll be clear that Protoss is broken.

Nothing can get in the way of the KT slump.
If only swag_bro was here to tell us all about it.
No worries I will.
HAHAHA Zest lost again! What we need is another post from the other redviper that KT is just practicing for PL and all their players are just so good they don't need to win the individual leagues anymore.
