I left in the middle of game 2 of lilbow vs keen to read one piece convinced it was already over. I'm now back and befuddled as to how lilbow managed to lose that game.

At least lilbow is already at blizzcon with the defeats of dear and rogue. Probably fantasy wont win dreamhack so he will be in the 13 or 14 spot (if sOs wins dreamhack). His participation at DH woudnt had any influence. With Rain at DH and Byul in the finals and Inno in the semis probably the top 7 of blizzcon will be herO, Maru, Parting, Life, Rain, Byul or Inno none of wich lilbow can defeat normally.

"feels like an arranged game" smart to say that, you can't make unit when you have a full min supply block
Ok this is probably not the right way to say it. But what I meant is that if the game was arranged, it would not have gone differently. Just it's not like Lilbow to be in such position with 1 min + of supply block.
When I looked at the game, I kindda saw myself, supply blocked at 150 with 3k in the bank.
Don't get me wrong though. I know Keen is not the common diamond player I meet on the ladder, and a lot of things Lilbow did were great. But somehow it's just disappointment after a great play to throw the game. In his position in the second game I would have more than surely lost too to anyone above diam, I don't even try to be smart and say "no way I would lose, blabla..."
It just feels like he can do much better than that. And he showed today that he's at least korean level to all of those who doubted cause it was still great play for most of the game. But unfortunately "most of the game" doesn't win if you make the last mistake. I think personally wait failed him is his mental that went down after the second game, and I understand that. This is the last barrier he has to overcome to become full korean.

Losing to one of the weakest Koreans in all of Korea proves that Lilbow is "Korean level". .

Hey, I didn't say he is RO4 GSL and SSL player. Even if Keen is not the strongest, he's far from being the worst of the Korean. Having bad result against really good players doesn't make you bad. He's probably one of the worst, among the best. It's like if you say about someone who is ranked 150 in tennis that he's so bad cause he lost to someone ranked 120 which is already bad cause he can't win a big tournament. That guy is still f**ing 150, and he can compete with the best, probably not for a whole tournament but take one big game from time to time. And ti continue with this analogy, a player losing to a top player 3 set to 0 has not necessarily been crushed if he lost 6-7 6-7 6-7. The result is the same in the end, but it doesn't tell the same thing about the level of the player.
By the way, in the video, Lilbow said that there wasn't really any big motivation cause he already won the biggest he could achieve (I don't think that's 100% true, but he said so). Well maybe blizzcon is out of reach for now for any non Korean, but he could try to go to Korea with the goal of making it to a RO16. Could be motivating enough.

In love with Lilbow or something? He is not even close to top koreans and have a hard time against bortom koreans.
Everyone know he won WCS because they ban koreans

people... on the Internet... I guess you disconnect your brain when you connect your computer.
Did I say he's top Korean level ? no ! I said that going to Korea with the goal of making RO16 would be a new challenge, more accessible than winning blizzcon, that oculd help getting new motivation to play the game. That means I feel he's not RO16 player, not even RO32. Or else it wouldn't be such a challenge.
And I'm sick of people criticizing non Korean just cause they are not Korean. I've you never seen top Kr lose to lesser players ? Does that make them bad ? I don't think so. Lilbow arrived at the top of the European level, cause it's the level he's encountering (the same stands for others as well even if less performing recently). If he wants to improve further, he would have to go to Korea, to find better opponents on the ladder. No one would argue that, but just claiming he's bad cause is not Korean is the stupidest argument. Other arguments to use in your life : - You cannot make good bread cause you're not french - You cannot play football cause you're not brazilian - You cannot make coffee cause you're not italian - You cannot make good burgers cause you're not american
If you want more just ask. I'll be glad to help you to socialize IRL by having things to say
