Well actually DRG didn't even take a 4th just went 3 hatch before pool and delayed roaches/ling speed. Scarlett went for fastest possible 7 gate with no sentries just stalkers/zealots which hits much earlier because you need less gas and don't need to wait for sentry energy. So I guess the two games weren't that similar
I mean that as a casual viewer, it was surprising to see a 4th before scouting as JD just did.
scouting was denied and he was reacting to the third base and fake gases because as z you have to gamble high or low with your economy there, blind units do no aggressive damage and seriously hurt your midgame if it's a real third and 60 probes
i'm not angry about the game or calling imba, im fine with toss mindgames and as i said i enjoy JD fan salt, but this particular kind of protossed provides no viewing entertainment whatsoever
Yeah, its just such an empty kind of game, because from an observer point of view you can see that it is over as soon as the Protoss moves out and the response from the Zerg is not there because he didnt guess correctly. And even as Lilbow was moving out you could see his poor multitasking as the probe failed to build a pylon, units were left unattended, etc, etc. And then you see the Zerg manages to identify what happened 10 seconds earlier, but in that time there's two chrono-boosted warp-ins in front of his base and its just over cause forcefields block any sort of engagement.
allins are designed to punish greedy play or bad scouting. without them the game would be pretty boring because everyone would use the same standard build every game.
there is a difference between bad scouting and stalker/sentry at every corner of the main base with fake gases and fake third lol
good on lilbow for hiding better than jd scouted but short of waiting for overseer or getting ovie speed his ceiling for scouting that build is limited, it's shit to watch and you know it's different from someone who just doesn't scout or misreads what he sees

Sure but most all-ins provide some sort of entertainment value, but with the help of forcefields and warp-ins there is none to be found here. None when you execute it yourself and none when you watch it. Watching it is even worse because you can see exactly what both sides are doing.

I literally picked a 4p map with an in-base natural to mind game you into going nexus first. The 10 pool build order starts in map vetoes, it's more complex than people realize
