Because if he keeps all his army in 1 place TY will just drop all over the place. Hence the need to split up your army and risk fighting the whole Terran army with just your half... Which is exactly what happened on Coda and Vaani. Blame Terran mobility or attribute it to TY being a god, idc at this point anymore it was pretty clear (even for classic) that he should go for "all-in", also attack the enemy and forget everything else. He did that without other half army...

Finally, the fightback against Terran starts here

it's like, where have you been the last five years, protoss lategame has always been strong and terran has always tried to multitask in midgame
get over it already Pretty much my point... When a Terran is winning in the midgame, Terran fans proclaim the players as a god. When a Protoss is winning in the lategame, Terran fans whine about Protoss being OP and "protossed" Doesn't help that Terran fans seem to be the most vocal part of the community probably because the way terran wins compared to protoss. When a terran wins its through exciting drops and out multitask. When toss wins its because of a big engagnement where they landed storms. And how the fuck are you supposed to do "exciting drops and multitask" when you don't have those tools as Protoss? And your army is weaker in small chunks compared to stimmed bio with medivac support? Defending that while getting to a high tech and building the right composition while keeping your bases alive and picking the right fight is how Protoss wins. Both require different sets of skills. But Terran fans don't understand that last bit. Terran drops = god Protoss doesn't drop = protossed It's an incredibly one-sided narrative and whenever a Protoss fan tries to say anything about it there are 10 Terrans screaming and hacking down on him. I don't think people are saying that it's the fault of the player. But it surely is the fault of sc2 and its design choices.

Protoss has no real multitaskign playstlye => most protoss wins are way less interesting by default
Please get out of goldleague meta before balance whining, protoss obviously has multitasking playstyles, it is the map awareness and army splitting that allows protoss to greed so much and still defend and counterharass

I feel like terran fans are bein unfair here. There are a lot of multitask in defending all those crazy drops and protoss themselves do multipronged atttacks in PvZ and to less extent PvT too

Ofc they have to multitask to defend drops etc For example: pressing f on the mothership core (sry i had to)

Classic played well. But TY played even better.
Classic had a better chance turtling on Echo. Vaani is just a nightmare against TY's multi-prong attacking style - not sure what Classic could've done there.
As much as Protoss death-balls are boring to watch, so are endless speedvac drops on sprawling maps. Both are equally hard to defend against, and usually end up in one-sided bops.

It was sad that the mines nerfed the heaviest and most interesting PvT multitask style out of the game, the templar/zealot play

When a Protoss is winning in the lategame, Terran fans whine about Protoss being OP and "protossed" Doesn't help that Terran fans seem to be the most vocal part of the community LOL, I'm kind of biased, but I think Zerg players as an independent party will all agree with the Terrans on this. "the most vocal part" is such a biased statement, since the "most vocal" part changes every couple of months. Before the infamous queen buff some years ago, Zerg where the most vocal part, until we only saw BL Winfestor into Win scenarios in every game besides ZvZ. 2014, almost all major/permier tournaments were won by Protosses and Taeja, in the beginning there was a lot of whining by the terrans, during mid 2014, almost noone complained anymore about TvP lategame, it was just how it was, Protoss winning. Back then the Zerg and Protoss screams were getting louder again, because of WM... so this changes over and over again, but "protossed" as a name for being ahead all game and losing it in 2 secs is something that didn't disappear over 5 years now, although it should, because that is just anticlimatic for the viewers - i don't mind that, because terran have the strongest midgame, that toss could come back in lategame, but I would prefer the fights to take a little longer and aren't over in 1-2 secs because of the composition (combination of chargelots, storms and colossi or whatever the chosen composition is) vs fragile bio units.
