Actually it's really risky since overlords naturally go over the best 2rax spots most of the time, and if you dronescout at 10 it's even easier to spot. So while it looks great for 2rax, it's really great for spotting and defending one.

It's actually the fuel that powers the heat-engine of the universe. Without the debate over Taeja's skill, everything will freeze over.

If you do what Rain did - sit back and play that respectful macro style - you're essentially forced into making zero mistakes, or you're just dead against a decent Terran. And Protoss is extremely strong in the late-game against Terran if the Terran doesn't get a lot of damage in. Did you watch MMA vs PartinG? Did you see what happens when all the drops get shut down? Dead Terran. MMA played awfully, not even close to what we just saw. I bet Fanta with this style would defeat PartinG too, unless Parting would so some early aggression. No other way to survive as protoss. PartinG defended flawlessly compared to Rain tho. Different maps, different builds, different terran player, completely incomparable. And MMA played terribly, especially compared to the play we just saw from Fantasy. Plus, Rain plays a style which just isn't very viable anymore because it puts your fate in the hands of one or two split-second moments where where you're looking at on your screen basically decides the outcome of the game. We've gone over this in the past few pages of the thread. I know this. And that's why Rain's having issues and PartinG is the god of PvT.

Feels like it's less about skill and more about luck/where you're looking at on your screen for one or two tiny moments that decide the entire game. Rain was the best by far at PvT throughout WoL. It's really amazing to see you making excuses for a player you like, haha He's not entirely wrong. Between Oracles, Blink, mine drops, Hellions, into multiple-drop fest versus Colossus defense into mass Storm + LAZORS... TvP is a matchup that turns on moments of only seconds to secure either a win or a massive lead. It's very different from TvZ or TvT for instance, where parade push siege battles can go on for minutes at a time and the constant positional tug of war of tank armies take both lots of time and patience. I am not even saying he is wrong, but it still amuses me Well, I'm glad that you admit I'm right. Concession accepted. I think that Rain should beat Fantasy though, he just didn't play well I just dislike the way that current TvP/PvT is built. The current widow mines were maybe needed to balance ZvT/TvZ, but it's really screwed with TvP/PvT. It rewards the cheesy/all-in Protoss players while punishing macro toss PvT.

Not just that, this map is a nightmare against zergs. Swarmhosts + Mutalisks preventing drops is a nightmare.

That would make sense if anybody at the pro level scouts at 10, which they don't. 13 or later if at all.

Well thats why I said "even easier", implying that its still relatively easy if you don't.

Absolutely strait-laced builds from both sides here, no surprises at all yet.

For example, I loved the PvT that was played between two players in Proleague just a couple days ago. The names escape me at the moment. Trap vs Hack, it was. Where it's late game, with colossi + storm vs vikings + ghosts, and so on. 4 bases, etc. That's what I think PvT/TvP should be like.
