skt fans have to be excited about it

If Flash makes the final, Bogus could have the opportunity to knock out all three KT "aces."

Yeah, though I think the one shot and you're out format is a little too harsh/detrimental. With a loser's bracket you get a whole other bunch of cool storylines and of course fantastic games. Playing one of the hardest games - arguably one of the hardest possible games in the tournament - in the first round is tough on whichever player that loses, whereas other title challengers get comparatively easy ones.

I don't see how you can possibly complain about the seeding of a tournament this stacked but that just goes to show people complain no matter what.

Hm, so far 100% of IEM champions have fallen out. I hope this trend doesn't continue T_T.

For the players perhaps, as viewer I find single elimination much more fun to watch

I still think Life didn't play as good as he could and Innovation didn't do anything special to deserve his win over Life. It was a standard TvZ, in 3 out of 5 games played, the "let's roll one army in another" game worked out a bit better for Innovation. Let's move on.

let's not forget that life fell behind in every single game vs a hellbat push...

Except for game 5. He held the Hellbats flawlessly.

he lost 5 drones and an extra few to banshees, i wouldn't say it was perfect.

Banshees are a separate thing from the Hellbat push, you can Hellbat push without 'em. If you just meant he fell behind in every game where INno applied early pressure, then yeah, that's true.

no i meant specifically in the games where inno used a hellbat timing, the first 2 games he lost the game right there, the last one he just fell behind slightly, and to be honest his hold at the 4 after that was a feat that not many zergs could have executed, and life somehow got even or even ahead

Yeah, but what other sports' don't have single elimination? I'm really a big fan of these single bracket tournaments!
I think having a loser's bracket also takes the hype and intensity out of day 1 (as well as makes it a degree harder to follow).

What a great series these TVZs are being. So tense. I usually hate tvzs for that reason but in such a high level its so exciting even if the player you are cheering for is on the receiving end. Finals shaping up to be a TvT featuring Bogus unless Dark has something to say about that and will have played a terran every step of the tournament. Dark vs Maru for more awesomeness next round pls.

Am I the only one who thinks it's questionable that Life, TaeJa, Rain and all the other seeded players that will drop out won't get WCS points for this?

I think they already gained WCS point by qualifying via winning previous IEM titles? Not sure about the qualifiers though. Would be nice if anyone knew more. Messioso, are you here?

I don't, they qualified for this through other events they already got WCS points for

I have to say that I like ESL's CS:GO host. Shame to not have Redeye around, he did CS:GO before.
