He should've played better Yeah, though I think the one shot and you're out format is a little too harsh/detrimental. With a loser's bracket you get a whole other bunch of cool storylines and of course fantastic games. Playing one of the hardest games - arguably one of the hardest possible games in the tournament - in the first round is tough on whichever player that loses, whereas other title challengers get comparatively easy ones.

For the players perhaps, as viewer I find single elimination much more fun to watch

If you just meant he fell behind in every game where INno applied early pressure, then yeah, that's true. no i meant specifically in the games where inno used a hellbat timing, the first 2 games he lost the game right there, the last one he just fell behind slightly, and to be honest his hold at the 4 after that was a feat that not many zergs could have executed, and life somehow got even or even ahead

Yeah, but what other sports' don't have single elimination? I'm really a big fan of these single bracket tournaments! I think having a loser's bracket also takes the hype and intensity out of day 1 (as well as makes it a degree harder to follow).

I think they already gained WCS point by qualifying via winning previous IEM titles? Not sure about the qualifiers though. Would be nice if anyone knew more. Messioso, are you here?
