He has his weirdo builds, but he knows them inside out and proves game and game again that he is not really a cheeser, rather just taking a different approach to standard. welp when you see his lategame you understand that he's just a gimmicky player for now. well, if you have a different take on the game, you cannot talk about "conventional" lategame. As a comparison, it's like with bio vs Zerg, you could say that it has a shit lategame, because it's ultimate army cannot keep up in straight engagements with the zerg ultimate army, but the whole point of bio is to not getting into those situations on even footing but either ahead or mainly just win before 20mins. you can win lategame TvZ, just need to be patient and take good fights, same story for TvP these myths kinda need to die in 2015... It's more that when he's stuck in a situation that goes to lategame his decision making is shit and you can question his army control. The 1st game was a wonderful display of someone put in a situation he's not comfortable in and lost a game he could/should have win (if he had an obs...).

Why would you have to be able to win in the lategame to not be a gimmicky player? He's solid, he doesn't cheese very often and wins a lot. Gimmicky would rely on him being unpredictable all the time which he isn't, and he still wins. TL;DR your definition of gimmicky sucks he relies on builds that loses to perfect reactions all the time. Life thrashed him at blizzcon because he opened 3hatch before pool everytime and that hardcounters his 4g.

Not sure if he was that much behind and his push should've won him the game. funny that he's going to get punished when he mixes his opening tho :D
