Why?
Because it was one single series and he didn't play his best.
Yeah sure it is only one series, but "he didn't play his best" is irrelevant. He didn't win in a tournament with preparation, as usual. Simple as that

Taeja not winning in Korea is why people scoff at his previous claims at being the best.

He lost a single bo5 in Korea and everyone goes nuts. He qualified for SSL and GSL when soO and Zest couldn't lol. There is absolutely no way to generalize this result to his future performance in Korea. And to everyone saying he sucked in Korea before has selective memory and forget his deep GSL runs
How many vikings do you need to oneshot colossus? Put them on a separate hotkey, the rest with the main army. When a fight starts use the group as intended.

"He didn't play his best" is completely relevant because it has nothing to do with preparation.

And your hero turned down JAGW's offer for more money and so he didn't have to play in Korea so I'm not sure why we're having this discussion

well this one, or maybe a "wtf don't nerf mines, Protoss is already so OP" could work too
Back to seriousness, bit sad for Taeja, one big Korean title before he goes to military would be so nice... Hope he ll do good in GSL...

this is more funny and satisfied than your usual KeSPAAAA
Do you realize it's awfully dumb to say that as Taeja qualified while soO, Zest, sOs, Flash didn't?
Theres a world of difference between qualifier and main league. Some like Terminator, Billowy etc qualified many times only to lose the first round horribly, meanwhile it took Bomber like 4 consecutive qualifier to break into Code A
Sure I over-express my joy a bit but Taeja losing a bo5 to protoss in preparation-centric match seems familiar right?

There's a line though between Taeja bashing or claiming he isn't a very good player and "welcome back to Korea" which just states that the competition there is much tougher than what Taeja has been playing/winning.

Qualifier are more like weekend tournaments I mean i am not saying that Taeja is bad, but i would sigbet (if i could, haha) that Taeja won't win a single korean tournament next year (probably even that he won't get to a semi final)

He made ro4 in a preparation based GSL. During BL/Infestor-days. Just as a comparism, that is 2 rounds further than Flash ever made it and during a much worse time for terran.

14-16 depending on upgrades. You can't do that because if Phoenixes kill one of those Vikings, one Colossus suddenly survives with a few hit points left and you have to waste another entire volley of shots to kill it off.

Notice how Taeja never won WCS America. He always has the potential for deep runs in even the most stacked of tournaments. He had a bad series, but he's still a top 5 terran imo
