His defense was great, his army movement on the map as well. I just didn't like those hellbats in the mix since eventually you need marauders. And making hellbats and marauders got him into trouble against all those mutas. WM are still the better choice + maraduers can snipe hatches way faster and tank more bane shots. I think he would have an easier time if he changed his army composition a bit. also, I wouldn't be surprised if Life wasted 3x more resources than Taeja... But hellbats pretty much make ling surrounds useless. If you looked at the army comps, it was actually Life that had to use a more banelings heavy comp with less lings because of the hellbats. They are better and more reliable against ground army but as you saw, mutas will give you so much trouble in such scenario. Life probably wasted 3x more resources than Taeja but mutas kept him in the game for a long time. Yes, that was Life adjusting his comp so Taeja made more Thors. Life did have tons of lings at the beginning. In TvZ, both players are switching their comps according to what their opponent is building.

I would say the number is not bad. nowhere near 100k... why does this matter? Because LoL and DOTA 2 get them ergo SC2 needs to be comparable or exceed the numbers otherwise it is a dead game. lol and dota are team sports. so just multiply SC2 numbers by 5, and that is the ratio SC2 should be judged by IMO. Team sports are always goingt to be bigger than individual sports atm That's probably the most flawed logic of all time. perhaps, but i'm just looking at sports and football is much bigger than tennis or ping pong or archery. collective sports seem to get much more support. and that makes sense to a degre4e

Sick games and the format was different. The players make the games not the format. Thinking this "gladiator aspect" is doing this to the games is just stupid. i disagree. players will play their absolute best for 100K. no relax games, or full foreigner games will be at a minimal. it's good to see the audience will watch players play for something on the line. Like Poker This isn't the case tho. Players still try their best if the difference in winning was only 20K. If you think players are 'throwing' because it isn't a 100K tournament, I suggest you take a look at how much these players make. And there have been just as many 'throws' in this tournament as other with same caliber players. maybe you're right. but at least for me, i am watching this because of the intense nature of the tournament. Poker has the same effect as well. All or nothing. life or death. it becomes philosophical to a degree and that philosophy survive or perish resonates with me. Maybe that intensity will resonate with other people. I think players do their best when there are less prize money, but when something is on the line, you will see emotions come out like what naniwa did. crying, laughing, it will come out and i think that is good for the sport. that is the drama Uh poker isn't like that at all? As far as I know, a majority fo poker players make money in cash games. And even then I'm pretty sure not every poker tournament i winner take all.

Had nothing to do with emotions XD I would say jjakji and his twitter is more of what you're aiming for.
