The Terrans seemed more eager to go for mines, but I wouldn't say bio/mine play a la mid-2013 TvZ is what happened.

If he traded 100 supply and Effort could turn his entire bank into mutalisks instantly, then it would be pretty powerful. I guess there was a moment that Effort made 30 corruptors, so maybe he could have switched to mutas there? I think the only chance Effort had to win that was to trade was when Stats didn't have enough bank to remax while Effort did. He had to engage and try to take down as many units as possible and remax on mutas and hope Stats didn't have bank to get enough phoenix, stalkers out.

Ya but there was a moment when Effort had a massive bank in gas and minerals, and Stats had nowhere near the bank of Effort and was always slowly trading out units for more tempest. That many Mutas would easily destroy 12-15 Tempest especially with the upgrades. And at that point Stats mining bases were really nearby to where the engagements were happening, and Stats Stargates were all the way in his main. So even if he did get out Stalkers/Phoenix Effort could do massive damage to his economy before that happened. It also puts the control of the match in Effort's favor, because if Stats switches to Stalker/Phoenix Effort can mix in more Corruptors to help muta, as well as whatever other unit he felt like could counter that composition to finish the game. I just think Zerg's try and turtle too long while Protoss builds the ultimate counter composition, whats the point of banking all those resources/larvae if you just remake the same composition that got destroyed for the last 30 minutes? Just doesn't make sense to me.

Because once the map was split in half it was obvious that stats was gonna win because with same resources zerg will always lose effort was just too scared
