After watching so many tournaments, I'm kinda leaning in favor of fixed groups. Looking ahead at the WCS AM ro32, there's way too many mirror matches T.T.

In a direct comparison of the top 6 (in my opinion) Koreans from each region NA wins. I mean this as an overall ranking, if I were going to say the top 6 in either region it would be different

Sen beat a Chinese Protoss. Chinese Protoss beat MMA. All of WCS EU season 3 couldn't beat MMA. Both Sen and Chinese Toss are in WCS NA.

I've seen a lot of protosses using the oracle to kill a queen rather than just going for drones. And inevitably the casters say "I think he should just go for drones." I feel like they know what they're doing though

I just mentioned the ppl I was in heavy doubt about. I mean about their level atm. JD, HerO, Taeja, Bomber I guess are always potential winners.

As for Polt... I just don't understand how he keeps doing so well. His style is his own. And it (to me) shouldn't win that much. But I think his greatest force must be his decisions. He knows when to doom drop and when to send 1 in each base and preasure front. Something I think he does better than any.
As for EU. I really like San atm. Much to learn from that guy.
MC and MVP are the richest SC2'ers. Stardust and Jjakji woop. No Korean zergs :S

He beat the OSL champ at WCS season 2 finals 2-0, so he is basically the OSL 2013 champion.
Also most people don't think he's good so I wouldn't call him overrated.

After watching the games vs Oz and seeing this in game 1 Desrow should know Nestea is a one trick pony atm. Wouldn't be surprised for him to be extremely prepared for the light roach/swarmhost play into mass muta switch

He was doing it with locusts too, sniping stalkers when he could. As long as you get rid of enough protoss AA before your main goes down, you win. If he hadn't messed up with the swarm hosts, desrow would have lost right there.

Yeah I see a lot of zergs get stuck on a bad army when maxed out, lose a critical fight and take game ending damage before you have time to remax on a better unit composition. Happens to me all the time haha

Well that's how every zerg plays. SH and Mutas, also known as good units. Everything else, also known as bad units.
I like to think that's why ladder is so hard for me. I like roach hydra viper too much
Getting ahead and filling up your supply with bad units, and then having no way to trade them out, is how I see zerg lose more games than any other way.
This is how I lose my ZvPs :D I want to play a straight up style and not rely on these lame muta switches but isn't that great. Gief hydra/infestor buff and nerf mutas and SHs and I'd be the happiest zerg :D
Mutas are awesome, I just wish they could be microed like in BW. A unit without hard counters, imagine that.
I hate mutas and I never, ever use them in any matchup and I also hate watching these stupid mass muta base race strategies ^-^

Neither of them are. These games aren't good. Entertaining perhaps, but the quality of play is low.
And yes you can fungal interceptors. There is an amazing game on that fucking twilight tileset map where Scarlett makes 64 infestors and fungals inteceptors for about 30 minutes. I miss WoL.

And not only that, but they shoot out from the Carriers in like a single straightforward line, all together. And if the interceptors are target firing something, they're all clumped together. Fungals destroy carriers.

There are 95 other players in a premier league, and plenty of people in KR region that are in code A/B that are probably better than nestea, so...
the most disappointing thing for me about Nestea today is that he wasn't known as the fastest player, but known for being intelligent... and now we have this same 'surprise muta' build every game.

Yeah I would like to think of Nestea as the old wily player who can play with the young'uns because he is a strategic master, but his builds are as bland as his micro.
I think Nestea is kind of a Korean Incontrol at this point. He can still compete, but has too much stuff going on in his life in general to really be a full time pro gamer. He probably isn't playing anywhere near as much as during his prime.

That should not have happened. Nestea was in a horrible position but desrow let the counter attack work and took the worst possible fight with his main army.
Desrow totally had Nestea. I don't know what happened. Desrow would have won, or at least dominated the engagement at Nestea's base / natural if proper micro. He was either really nervous and making mistakes, or he doesn't do the immortal push very often at all, or his micro is his weakness. And did Desrow lose his warp prism or MSC before I turned to the stream to watch the engagement?

I'm pretty sure in that situation you have to walk up further in an dfocus down the spine crawlers because of their high DPS. Then you can back up a bit if it's still possible and kite / forcefield the rest of the units. Very true. However, credit to Nestea to making the exact perfect decisions in the last two minutes of the game. Without the counter, he could not have won. Without the spines he could not have won. Without the exact timing of pulling drones, he could not have won. Even though Nestea displays a lack of understanding for the current (meta) game, he still knows how to win from impossible situations like almost noone else.
