Polt beat stardust, didn't see games, then Jaedong played sloppily against an on-fire Mana, then Polt won pretty easily against Mana with early game tactics. Stardust played near perfect against Jaedong game 1, Jaedong did early zergling attack in game two and rode momentum to victory

Thanks fellas. Glad to see Polt advance, I was thinking he wouldn't.

I agree here, that was uncalled for. Stardust is playing beautifully.

Having said this, I see Protoss players multitasking beautifully nowadays - which was actually not very common. A lot like Zerg players not utilizing creep spread for quite a long time when SC2 was first released.

Ehh, I think Protoss have multitasked as much now as before. Like with every race in sc2 harassment and multitasking is important.

Most definitely not. Protoss meta in PvT, for the longest time, has been to sit back on three bases and defend defend defend. There was multi-tasking, of course, just more limited. Now we're seeing prism drops - which is like a boxer using just one arm before and now using both.

.....

Oh my gawd. Amazing PvZ rightnow.

I think you can't compare PvT between WOL and HOTS. In WOL, there was no MsC or oracle so the 9-10min stim push in PvT was so powerful that Protoss could hardly multitask with another front because it needed all the units to defend. They were just not given the opportunity to multitask, not that they couldn't.

It's quite preposterous that TL hasn't asked you to do a strategy guide yet.

Some builds are more common in PvT now, like the warp prism harass. But counterattacking with pylons and prisms, hiding Templar, moving about roving bands of Stalkers, etc. has always been a mainstay in different PvX matchup. But it's different based on metagame, map, play preferences, etc.

It's still viable for protoss in PvT to sit back on 3 bases in hots, isn't it? I see it all the time, but now better Protoss are mixing in aggressive multi-tasking - which I love btw.

Yeh thats definately it, I'm not just making an observation on kaeleris saying something to the effect of "despite jaedong getting second place 5 times in a row he's still practicing to be a top tier player"
