There's not a thing more wrong in the world, than this statement.

Maru all the way.

no, we also watched jaedong beating dear yesterday.

You have inside info that Maru is playing toss?

People said that Dear is the best player atm. Jaedong beat him.

He can beat anyone, even if on paper Maru is the better player. Just like on paper Dear is/was the better player.

By that logic, Oz is better than almost everyone here cause he also beat Dear.

proxy marauder against 11-11? proxy marauder against proxy marauder?
We have seen this already.

A strategy doesn't indicate high-level thinking or play. Thinking dictates strategy, and there's a huge difference between proxy marauder and proxy marauder because X, Y and Z.

When Idra went back to GSL, he was in a group with Nestea. He got 0-2ed. You could think of it as a 14-pool against a 10-pool and a 10-pool against a hatch-first. But then you miss out on the point of that series. Nestea was so far in Idra's head he could finish his sentences. You could also think of Jaedong against Dear, game 5, as a failed Gateway all-in. But why be so needlessly reductionist?

If we go by this logic, Soulkey vs sOs in GSL semis was great series.

Yes, it was.

That was a terrible series.

I don't agree. If any of those cannon rushes had been "what the fuck, I give up", then I'd agree with you.

So you were okay with the 4 games where sOs said to himself, He couldn't possibly be going mutas again!!!!!

Pretty much. It wasn't fun to watch, but that's what happens when one player is way ahead of the other mentally.

Still 4-3, and then sOs won the match the week after. Not that mentally ahead.

Things change in the course of a series, and players can make adjustments (or not make them). The first three games of that series, Soulkey had a pretty solid advantage over sOs.

So you'd say he wasn't that mentally ahead of sOs then?

Bomber is least likely, but I hope he can get recognition as the top players for once in his career before he retires.
I can see Bomber take out sOs, if sOs decides to just play standard vs Bomber (unlikely).
If Jaedong beats Maru (extremely unlikely), Bomber will no doubt beat Jaedong for the win.
However, if Maru wins I don't think Bomber will beat him.

Jaedong isn't going to win vs Maru's TvZ. If he does and sOs beats Bomber he will win the grand finals.
sOs will probably beat Bomber and lose against Maru.
Maru should be a heavy favorite to win it all, I don't understand why he wasn't.

Maru's mechanics are now on par with any top Terran, with a wide range of builds and flexible execution.
Maru is going to be what we thought he would become from the open season and what Innovation/Flash should have become.

Probably won't even hit a thousand pages. How pitiful.

we just need a jaedong vs bomber final with 2-3 draws in the series.

Maybe Jaedong will cause the power to go out, causing a ten-hour long delay where everyone reminisces over FvJ and KeSPA.

Going into that series, yes, he was. And he blitzed his opponent, who made good adjustments but couldn't ultimately dig himself out of the hole.

Just watched almost all of the vods, and I gotta say, this is one the best tournaments in SC2 so far.

If Jaedong wins it all, I'll be so happy. What a thing to win the largest tournament of the year after placing second in four in a short time. So exciting. Can't wait for the ro4 matches in a few hours.
