Completely incorrect, BW has more viable and varied strategies than SC2 does
look at BW terran strategies
2 port wraith SK terran 6 rax mech biomech valkonic fast vessel
And how many of those worked in TvT and TvP :3? And under that i mean not as part of all-in or clever timing.
at least 5 of these were relevant throughout BW's lifespan with some modifications (eg. instead of 2 port, just wraith-based play)
unless of course you classify them as "clever timings" - how dare people play smart in starcraft!
Because if we include clever timings then toss in SC2 is da best race ever.

No, because in BW timings are smart. In sc2 they just make the game more volatile. + Show Spoiler +
yes, it's irony, i am already tired of the people who post "reasons" why the game is more volatile because there is no Captain McDude winning everything (like that's a good thing, because esports, storylines and stuff !1!1!1), but more often, because their player just doesn't perform as they expect, so it is easier to blame the game instead of just a bad day, the other player bested him, or it was a close series that could go either way.

Correct, altought Terran is still refusing to hand over the title so easily by clinging on to the ZHOO ZHOO train before storm timing. While Zerg is sitting in the back of a car somewhere complaining to david kim about how they could have been a contender. (props to those who get the reference)
darn, these results >< Hearing that flash threw games away when he had an advantage is cringe-worthy. So disappointing Well, I guess if he can't break RO16 next time, maybe he'll come back to BW lol.

(agreed) And that is highly amusing Sometimes, people only see what they want to see
I think PartinG would've made the finals relatively easily if he had gotten into the top bracket, but as is, he outlook looks bleak. Still, he seemed pretty confident in his interview. Maybe iloveoov can help him find his Soul.
People just need to temper their expectations for Flash and then this level of rage at him losing shouldn't happen as much. At this point people should finally realize that BW skill != SC2 skill, and that Flash being merely good at SC2 isn't all that outlandish a notion.
Would've definitely preferred Flash to advance, but I guess it's not the end of the world.
However, I definitely do understand the hope people are putting on Flash breaking through and establishing dominance. SC2 needs more iconic players rather than the flavour of the week/month. Maybe Maru will be one, but today he didn't look dominant at all.

I agree, but there is one thing. I'd rather have Flash play BW

He has a very entertaining playstyle imo. One of those players that win engagements one wouldn't think is possible, some sick miro plays.
A great example is his hold vs Effort:
i understand casters are just trying to hype the game and i assume thats what it is. like halfway through the video khaldor says "effort was in the greatest position but omg maru's defense omg!!"
i was thinking whaT? at the start of the video i see a 2base zerg 7 food ahead of a 2base terran, then he attacks into a super defensive position .... of course i expect the terran to hold that heh...
i know its fun to watch and all lol. but ive seen way better insane defenses than that
I just got this feeling in my gut that FlaSh is gonna go back to BW :/ maybye not right now but if he doesnt perform well in the next wcs season in 2014 who knows? Might just be me though currently really sad for flash and a bit tipsy
