Yes he held, but he deviated from his build and locked himself in a dubious stuff. With the gas 15 expand, you can inflict heavy damage or even outright kill a 2 rax reapers → triple OC with a Marines/Hellions elevator, especially as he needed time to float back those rax. Flash probably didn't want to take any risk as the defence is very tight, but as a result he chose something which ended up being overly safe for defence, and not enough for offence. /:

Depends on your definition I guess. If no one can be that good in several RTS, then might as well take whoever was most dominant in one. And might as well take the one RTS considered to be the hardest one to get good at.
In any case, to be that good at a game you must love it. And it's hard to believe Flash loves SC2 at this point (not just his game performance but from his interviews as well).

People go on about Flash winning a tournament if he hadn't been in a group of death, well to win a tournament you'd have to beat someone who advanced from the group of death or someone who beat someone who advanced from the group of death
