It definitely did not like Maru winning as much as it looked like Flash throwing away every single game of this series. To be honest, if Flash doesn't get past that, I'd better see him retire. Doing GSL code S on a regular basis is more than decent, but what he's displaying is extremely painful to watch for anyone that's ever followed BW, know what the guy represented and the aura of (almost) complete invicibility that surrounded him. Surely you should have realized by now that this kind of domination is virtually impossible in 2013 SC2 anyway?

Would love to see Parting in the finals, feels like he should've been there a long time ago.
jjakji obviously favored to take the championship. You predict Soulkey winning over Rain and wishing to see Parting in final, when he will have to win against Soulkey in Bo7, being 2-7 against him in HotS? WHAT!? But if Parting does win against soO and Rain against Soulkey, Parting is probably finalist. Also, jjakji to win this GSL.

Like Soulkey :D

i understand the importance of flash to the scene but he was not the better player today, and anyone who calls doom upon starcraft for flash not playing well should blame flash, not anything else.
yes, maru cheesed the games. flash played quite well to defend the cheeses (all 3 of them) and got a sizable lead in each game, but maru was the superior player for knowing what to do when he was so far behind. heck, he was close to winning game 2 as well.
the ro8 may not be the most star-studded one ever, but that's a consequence of the stars not playing to their level as well as some of them being in other regions. such is life.

Honestly I don't believe having him around with that kind of average-ish performance is helping out SC2 that much over there anyway.

Hardly. I agree that Flash has been unlucky with his ro16 groups, but if you can't make it out of ro16 regardless of your group, you are not going to win. He would just have met his demise in ro8 or ro4. At this point it is pretty obvious that Flash is no where near god-tier anymore. The fact that he lost against Dimaga says it all.

I think Soulkey would be favored vs Parting!
But I also think Parting can slay any nerd he faces, on a good day. He has that killer instinct.

That he was even able to have a tank with siege covering himself in that situation, seems so incorrect to game sense. His opening was aggressive, it was greedy, yet somehow he also had tech to save himself.
Maybe an unintended consequence of some of the HotS balance tweaks.
This is actually pretty damn spot on, without instant siege maru would have propably lost the game with that marine + tank push from Flash.Or at least had to sacrifice alot of SCV's and give flash the chance to expand himself with a decent lead.
I'm really sad that Flash lost, theres a reason why Flash groups seem to always have the highest viewer count. Hope he keeps his motivation for the life of korean sc2

Pretty sure that's what he wants to do and it's the correct move. The sc2 scene is different than BW, it's not that big in korea but way bigger on a global scale. Staying in Korea all the time won't keep you motivated, but traveling around the world keeps the game and scene fresh for you and keeps you motivated. I strongly believe joining EG was good for JD and his love for the sc2 scene and thus also resulted in more skill, than if he had stayed on team 8.

I agree wholeheartedly. But I still belive in him. I think the reason he`s not doing so good, lies in his mindset or the whole situation with fans and SC2 in Korea (see last interviews)

Maru wasn't behind at all in the first game after the fight near his retreating Starport; he wasn't close to winning game 2 as he never came close to Flash's bases; and he wasn't behind in game 3 either because Flash put himself at a disadvantage with his build.

anyone who calls doom on SC2 for flash not playing well aren't rational fans, or even real flash fans. and these posts aren't even prevalent, contrary to a picture you prime fans are painting
what the most disgusting thing was in this thread today were the multitude of people (including you) baiting and hating on flash.

I still think it is. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be, other than maybe players need the necessary amount of motivation and exposure to get to that level and the scene is not allowing that anymore.
