HyuN isn't a top Korean? He's tied with Maru & JaeKong for rank 16 in WCS points... and he'll be tied with Rain for #15 once he beats Daisy and reaches the Ro8... lol
You really want to go by wcs points when hyun is farming wcs points from foreign tourneys and wcs na?
Yes. You think consistently getting top 8 at every single top tier foreign tournament is easy?
There's no such thing as a top tier foreign tourney competition wise anymore since the introduction of wcs. Europe never had a ton of koreans in their tourneys, so it's status quo there, but last MLG was the weakest level of competition since koreans started playing in them.
So yes, I don't think it's that impressive. A number of the top tier koreans could do the same if given the same opportunities. Foreign tourneys these day consist mainly of just koreans on foreign teams for the most part.
People said that about Stats, Dear and soO going to MLG, and Polt crushed Dear, and the other two didn't do any better.
It's not "easy farming" what Polt and Hyun are doing. They might not be Innovation level, but they're still playing some of the best SC2 right now in the world.
i can see Hyun in top 3 zerg only after soulkey and symbol. So i rate him a top tier korean player.

I don't think many said that about those 3 kespa players. In fact most were disappointed that those 3 qualified in the first place for MLG and not many had high hopes for them. Well in the sense that yes most expected them to crush through foreigners, but I don't think those 3 are a step above koreans on foreign teams.
I used to really dislike Polt back in the day for talking smack about Jinro (and then getting a thrashing by him). I remember being super annoyed when he won that GSL tournament with the huge prize pool.
He's really grown on me lately though; his English interviews have really brought out his personality as a happy/friendly dude. I feel bad for misjudging him at first, and I'm glad he's still super strong at SC2 even living outside of Korea. Now he's one of my favorites, and I really hope he goes far here!

Gumiho and Jaedong and possibly violet are the only 3 on that list I would classify as tough wins.
So LucifroN, HerO and VortiX aren't solid players? LucifroN is probably the best foreigner with a strong TvZ, HerO was a favorite to win MLG and went toe-to-toe with HyuN at times and soO/YugiOh are strong Zergs.
Is it just me or is this way behind the schedule? I mean it's fine by me because I expected to only see the finals, but according to the schedule here we're at leasts 3 hours or so behind.. Were the technical issues so bad?

"kespa didnt send their best players duh"
Besides both of them pretty much have proved they can compete in top tournaments, Polt winning super tournament and Hyun made a GSL finals! Granted it was WoL but they had that ELITE play at one point or another.
