Its the same this as a protoss doing an all in. Except not as powerful. And the micro + macro Polt was using to accomplish it was twice what a Toss 2 base all in takes. He was even microing the Medi's to heal certain units at times.
All of this while constantly rallying and macroing off of Rax, Fact, and Starports. Keep in mind it is much more unforgiving for a terran if they miss a macro cycle. (Cant just warp in off pylons)
So yes, you can say he won cause hellbats are too strong. There was a lot more behind the entire game than hellbats. Really think it would work if he just built hellbats and A-moved. He would have been decimated.
It's the only 2 base all in that's used because Terran can just get a fast 3rd CC without any punishment and dominate the mid/late game. No point in taking risks.
So what is your stance on these 2base pressure builds that Protoss loves to do against Terrans doing 3CC? + Show Spoiler +
The Terran dies straight up 9/10 matches
Way to completely overrate those builds, unless you're talking about your personal experiences in gold league.

Hey I'm Diamond!
AND I HAVE FAITH IN THE DONG!
Let me just say this. His ZvT is right below his ZvZ, almost the exact opposite of his JvP. Hahaha.

Sorry but this makes 0 sense.
Yeah that post made no sense whatsoever. There are Naniwa,Dear,Sage,Hero left in the bracket.
And which of these do you suppose will beat the Polt we've seen tonight?
I give Dear and Nani better odds on beating Polt than JD. And in a Final HerO if he doesn't choke horribly could take games off him as well.
Edit: also it's quite sad to see him small this LR is compared to the Winter one =/
What. Have you not seen jaedongs zvt or something? Like really?
I have faith in Polt lets just say that much

Ah we are playing the hypothetical game? Funny how Naniwa beating Jaedong and Hyun is our only shot at a Zerg champion. Funny how Sage beating Sound and Polt is our only shot at a Terran champion.
I cant believe theres an EE. We were overjoyed with happiness when they got rid of it..and then they decide to bring it back? A moronic decision at its finest. Hoping Polt's the favoite going in tomorrow. Has all the momentum in the world. My darkhorse pick is Dear.

Pure faith is what is going to shatter this petty conception of JvP, and rocket him on the road to glory.
Tyrant 2013.
He crushed Stats. He'll crush Naniwa. And Dear?
Dear oh my, the annihilation of the Protoss will be glorious.
Simple questions : - Will the VODs be free or will there be a paywall? - The double elim format stops at the semifinals. For example, if Polt loses in the semi tomorrow, he will be out for good (losing only one game, as opposed to all the people in the loser bracket). Does he have an advantage like starting 1-0?

Ah we are playing the hypothetical game? Funny how Naniwa beating Jaedong and Hyun is our only shot at a Zerg champion. Funny how Sage beating Sound and Polt is our only shot at a Terran champion.
...Seriously?
I don't think Polt will lose to a protoss based on what we've seen tonight, and what I know of him historically (also, Rain isn't here). Based on that premise, I need Jaedong to snipe him, which means I need Jaedong to stay alive until the semifinals.
This is one of the least elaborate thought processes I've ever had to spell out.

If Jaedong stays alive until the semi-finals, it's all over.
4th, 2nd...There's only one place left on this mountaintop to go!

OK let's not play the games then if Polt has it locked? The whole idea that: JD beats naniwa, Dear is our only hope! Hero/Sage doesn't have a chance? Seems like thinking to far ahead..And if Dear was the only shot, if he made it to the finals and Hero/Sage did as well you'd be guaranteed a Toss champion. Hero is also perfectly capable of beating Polt.
