But of course, why would you bother thinking about match up when you can just go crazy with fanboyism. I guess he points out that supposedly Polt is stagnating in Texas while Dear is playing in Proleague with best terran on the planet as partner. I also think it was a bit unexpected but more because I wasn't sure how good Polt will be against proleague regulars. its actually not that hard to keep your mechanics up on your own if you dedicate maybe 4-6 hours a day to playing the game. you dont need the 10-16 hours proleague players put in it to maintain those mechanics.... kespa players imho shine mostly in games where they can prepare with the help of their coaches and teammates, not so much in game to game lan tournaments. the huge perceived skillgap between proleague players and other non-pl pros actually sizes down substantially when the preparation factor is taken out of the equation. You speak my mind mate. Proleague elephant lost half of their strength in a high density tour like MLG without careful preparing and the help of the coach. In fact, the only elephant who can win a major tour without these kind of preparing is innovation in WCS final. Then again, innovation is absolutely a monster. I'd love to see a game between Polt and innovation. Just to know how good Polt can be.
I dont think Innovation is the only one. Plenty of players like Soulkey, Flash, sOs, Rain have made deep runs in these types of formats. Suggesting they are all capable of winning. It is not like they come to these events and just bomb out in the early rounds.

I think he would find it as difficult as the rest. Just ask guys like Life and Leenock. I agree that Polt will struggle in Korean WCS. Kepsa players are always favor in these format with their excellent preparing and coaching. But then again, MLG is another story. Just look at Dear, Stats, and Soo. If this was in OSL format, i am sure they'd perform much better. I wouldn't say Dear, Stats and Soo have individual league prowess and that's why when I saw the qualifier results I furrowed my eyebrow. These guys are like you said, more known for their Pro League results than individual accomplishments and even then that's severely limited. To be honest I'm not at all shocked. Kespa just needs to send out their best player to more foreign tournaments to claim more territories. Its actually amazing that Dear Stats and Soo made out after all. I would say tip top elephant must be save for the OSL.

In fact they still have a very good chance to win the entire tournament. It so stupid for you to make fun of Kespa players after they dominate WCS for a year or so. Rain won tournaments, Roro won tournaments, Innovation won tournaments, Soulkey won tornaments in SC2. What are you talking about? All your arguments made up.

I think day9 brought it up.

What happens if Dear plays Polt again? Does he have to win 2 series in a row against him?
I hope Jaedong can beat Dear, I think he has a good shot at winning the tournament if he does.

Good win over Stats and hopefully he beats Naniwa to avenge the dreamhack semifinals loss. I'm sure if he didn't threw that one game vs Nani he would've beaten Leenock in finals!

You think that players like Flash, Rain, Soulkey, etc, couldn't win this MLG? Dear isn't exactly a top-tier player, and even in Proleague he hasn't been doing great lately, and Stats has been purely a Proleague player for a long time now. This is also the first time for both of them to play outside of Korea.
