TLPD is complete while Liquipedia hasn't been updated in a while iirc
I also remember that the tallies were different at one point when they were still updated
Yeah, the map stats for the Proleague page on LP hasn't been updated since the end of Round 1, and the only one part of the statistics page that is somewhat up to date seems to be the player stats for match-ups.
Maaaybe something I could work on. Been a while since I did anything massive on LP.
Ladies and gentleman! Are you ready to see the best of the TvT match up? When he appears, threads on TL get fueled by anger and whining. He is so good, he plays on both sides: Mr. Hellbat. *loud applause* *girls fainting* (also there is Flash and Fantasy playing, but who cares)

Schedule was compressed because of WCS. I believe these are the matches that were supposed to played that weekend had WCS not happened. Also, it's Thursday.

I'm actually pretty nervous, even though all SKT needs is 1 win (I think) to secure a playoff spot. I dont wanna see any epic collapses (it has happened).

What were the penalties for?
Stephano saying "GL HF", (I guess?) HerO being late, pausing, etc. PL rules are very strict when it comes to stuff like that.

It would be hilarious if EG-TL somehow pulled out that miracle where SKT doesn't win anymore and they get 4th, but then lose out on the tiebreaker by 1 point because of Stephano's incident.

We see a perfect example of why hellbat drops shouldn't be adressed even if they occur often. They can be defended and good games can evolve based on hellbat drop builds. It gets tricky if both go for it. I really like the dynamic of TvT now.

I think Fantaji will win anyway lol
Yes, but it was a brilliant game of him. Countering BC/Viking with mines
Well i thought Flash had that won. I guess those hellbat drops forced him to push back whilst Fanta made 20 odd Mines and got his vikings back up to a reasonable count
On June 13 2013 17:20 Ragnarork wrote: Dafaq happened ? I just stopped watching for like 5 min, Flash was dismantling Fanta bit by bit, tune in again 5 min later and Fanta won ? :D
anyways, I imagine you can counter the mines by hovering at least your vikings on top of his tanks so the splash backfires. the battle cruisers are too slow for that probably, but you can split them and they have a lot of hp. it just requires that you keep air superiority I suppose
flash also didn't have any upgrades on his ground army. i guess he was really hoping that the quick BCs would win him the game straight up, which they almost did

Its better. Does AoE, doesn't die
But is slower, can't fly, requires time to burrow, and can damage friendly units.
idk their not that slow, and with the upgrade takes them 1 second to burrow (as you saw flash did try to run with his viking/bc ) but yes it can damage friendly units.

Flash neglecting his ground army made widow mines an effective counter, because the BCs will target vikings and not widow mines

I dont really mind not seeing old units, or improving to the game for romantic thoughts about broodwar, but I think terran is messed up like shit, pdd, window mines, seeker missile, flying medic, medivac boost, hellbats, etc. I just hope they be objective about it and see that terran has too much at the moment.
On June 13 2013 17:28 nobodywonder wrote: i just realized that widow mines are like seeker missiles except better
Seeker missiles have way way way better range than widow mines and are more reliable if used correctly. It's also a spell that doesn't cost anything aside from energy. I don't see how Widow mines are "better" than seekers.
Why do players cast timewarp in these situations? If lings are already on your zealots, what does slowing their movement speed do? It does not slow their attackspeed right? Weird...
Fanta hellbat-dropped and did quite some damage. Both players got up to three bases securely and built up mech armies with Fanta continuing harassment. Flash however went for a BC switch at 15 minutes where his air fleet demolished Fanta's vikings. Taking down about three expansions it seemed like Fanta was about to keel over and die. However, Fanta produced a number of widow mines that in the first battle got beaten. In the consequent fights Ravens and widow mines took down the air army after an out of position tank group got killed by Fantasy first. Then Flash's nat and main got sieged up by the following push and he gg'ed.

I think it does diminish their DPS because the lings need to be in very close proximity to their target in order to do damage. By reducing their movement speed you effectively reduce their damage output. This is also why speedlings run over slowlings without any problem, even when their damage outputs are basically the same.

Boxer used to send out some relatively weaker players out in the GSTL when Slayers was still around. They said it was so that more of their younger players get more stage experience. May be the same thing is happening now?

Personally I was just wondering why DT's have different looks and no other unit does. But to be fair, sometimes it's hard to make them out in big control groups because they look differently when you select them together too.
