This is not true, KR vs KR can get tons of foreign viewers (Flash vs Life and MLG is the running example). People do enjoy watching Koreans, but this was a REGIONAL tournament. Korean players knocked Europeans out of the their own regional tournament, it's a complete joke. I'd have nothing to say if this was simply Dreamhack or IEM or something, but it wasn't. It was the "European championship", and it was a complete farce as far as determining the European power rankings and developing the foreign scene. And WCS AM is a joke that shouldn't even be discussed.

They were watching because a European was playing in the finals... Flash vs Life at MLG beat this in viewers. Why were they watching? Also Dimaga vs Stephano would not have gotten 120k. How is that even remotely analogous? MLG wasn't a regional tourney- and that tournament was Flash vs. Life, the best BW pro vs the best SC2 pro, an epic clash of the titans. Sick games too. I'm not hating on MVP, but a regional tournament needs to be region locked. Well you know what's going to happen with region locks right... every region outside of korea will immediately become irrelevant, because you may get 5 europeans representing europe but they are going to get butchered in the world finals. Allowing people to play wherever makes the thing competitive.

Apparently I m part of the 120,000 people u mention... I mean I watched it for other matches but this is much less exciting when u know who is gonna win. I'll just leave this idea here: I for one love watching this type of stuff just because there IS a good chance that there'll be a strong korean (terran or whatever) in the final and if a European gets there and wins the games then the win will be all the more awesome to watch....just me. Exactly, imagine next season if Naniwa or someone fights Mvp in the finals and WINS, it will be the most hype thing ever. They should use some DNA tests to confirm that the participants are really from Europe origin, or it wont be good enough WCS :D

Having him there build huge hype and storyline for any foreigner that will face him in next season!

I get that in the case of WCS AM, because It's a lot of Koreans without the history of Mvp. But this is Mvp, he's an icon of this game and any tournament featuring him will be better off for it. We know his story and can relate to him, It's not like some random person who has never won a tournament before took the crown. EU will fight back.

The Stanley cup final isn't between the best NHL team and the team in Mexico.

Hopefully they work out a plan to keep ToD as a caster even though he's in Premier, I like him a lot and I think he's gotten quite a bit of praise during Season 1. I'd love it if they managed to get HasuObs as a replacement for when ToD is unavailable.

The only reason I watched the finals was to watch a European player defend his region, and it didn't happen. I love MVP, but he shouldn't have been in this tournament.

The Korean matches are at a terrible time for Americans and probably not a very good time for EU though I assume its slightly better. Also its not really fair to make a claim and then say since you cant prove or disprove it my claim is true.
