I think the problem that the NA scene have is "the EG factor". Who are the most known/famous "native" american players? I think its most likely Idra, Incontrole, Huk and QXC (correct me if i´m wrong). Besides Huk these guys never had the best results but are interesting/funny/"bad boys". The thing with the NA scene is that the most successful players in the NA scene are not the ones that have the best play, the most successful are these players who are able to market themselves.
Best example is Incontrole. Dont get me wrong he is an awesome guy, a great commentator and does a lot of things that are good for eSports but imagine you are a High Grandmaster NA player that beats the shit out of him every game and you make 10 times less money than he is.
It feels like that the most important thing for NA players is not to "win" or "be good", it is to be good at marketing.
And on a side note why are so many people here counting DeMuslim as a NA pro, he is from england isn´t he? If you say he is on a NA team or lives in America you could count Teaja Violet and Polt as "NA" pros too.

Didn't TL used to have a little thing that said "rebroadcast" for anything that actually was, in fact, a rebroadcast..? If an event's not in the calendar section under "ON AIR" but down in the Live Streams, it's probably not a live event.
Oh I didn't ever realize that... thanks.

Africa: 54 countries, 5 spots Asia: 49 countries, 4.5 spots Europe: 50 countries, 13 spots South America: 12 countries, 4.5 spots This would translate in WCS Season Final spots like that: Korea: 10 spots Europe 5.5 spots NA: 0.5 spots. I think both sides have valid points. The WCS idea is to have three continental events of equal strength but WCS America will be soon a second Code S and there are a lot of esports fans out there that still want to watch their local heros. This is a problem but it is not necessarily the best solution to change to tournament structure. The best solution would be to increase the skill level of the american players but how to achieve that? Won't happen because Korean teams have Korean sponsors. Kespa players definitely won't leave. You have to ensure that the NA teams stop investing in Korean players and instead invest in local players. If they have Korean players, make sure that he local players actually get to train with them. Best scenario is that NA teams move all their Korean players to NA and have them improve the quality of practice that the NA scene gets. Why invest in local players when they don't turn as much profit. You don't get a whole lot of brand exposure if your players keep losing in the first round. Suppy, Demu, Catz, iNcontrol, Scarlett, QXC and countless others say hello. Local players turn more profit then Korean players if you take the time to develop and promote them.
If what you are saying is the case, then why not have all Foreigners on the major foreign teams. Who needs Korean mercenaries when you get more profit from having foreign players.

better example might be calling forgg an european. but tbh, if there is forgg vs a korean i root for forgg like for any other european player. if its european vs forgg is see that different.

hi Suppy
Good job in the group, getting past two Koreans is a difficult task to ask of anyone
It'll be exciting to see these Koreans bring their full power! (Despite what stfouri may think)
Suppy go back to Code S where you belong ASAP!

Revival is pretty lucky that Scarlett isn't in top form today!

WCS premier league = Code S

I'm being brainwashed by the WCS terminology Blizzard has imposed upon us :O

Only WCS KR Premier League is Code S.

All right then, that would make sense.
Get back into Code P ASAP, SupP!

Gogo local players, who needs results and skill anyway. lol.
Imo the market for personalities is saturated. They are good for showmatches or charity but you cant even invite them to a semi-serious tournament, cause some no-name-better player will humiliate them.
