Once you have a lead of mutas you can take more expansions and have more gas and win the inevitable muta vs muta fight. In big muta fights there's limited micro you can do, so it's just who has more. Makes it a bit tedious.
I think there is still the possibility of getting back into the game with Spores and Queens for defense and Ling run-bys. If the player with the muta-lead takes one bad engagement, the game can turn around pretty quickly. Spores do lots of damage to Mutas. I agree though that this is up to the player with the muta-lead screwing up. But since screwing-up can happen so fast in HotS ZvZ, we will probably see quite some come-backs later on when we see more ZvZs.

I think you share that feel with many, and while I don't have any EGL players on my main team, I thought it better not to have Jaedong on it.
CJ Entus vs EGL may be interesting.

Yeah the game was decided when JD was able to take his 5th/6th gas early and Soulkey wasn't able to get his until the game was over. Really amazing by JD to make that happen.

now i almost regret calling my fpl team 'i love jaedong but have been hurt before'

People say that in the meantime the muta player will just take the entire map, but there should be situations where it works. It's early days in HOTS; the metagame should change a lot over time.

I don't think so though.
I think it will be Muta vs Muta until Blizz decides to buff the Hydra.

The only bad thing is that there's no scourge.
