I'd rather watch the best of the best, and its usually koreans. But there's no denying that foreigners bring in the numbers. Big time. This game can only revive to its old glory when they start inviting much less koreans for mlg imo. Trollers gonna troll Some people rather would have _insert any left korean_ 4-0 _insert any foreigner_ in the finals instead of having a good show. While I don't want to disregard foreigners with this statement, they are not close to Korea and I'd rather watch two "unknown" Koreans in any big final instead of a Korea vs non-Korea final which is over after half an our. SaSe vs TaeJa were not so bad games and Bly made a good stand against Flash. SEn I only heard off wasn't too bad vs PartinG but yeah, we got those match ups left with only Koreans and I couldn't be more excited. All the match ups are actually so tough to call and could go either way, that its really thrilling. If people would stop hating on the Koreans and actually read into them and their scene they would probably enjoy a tournamnet a lot more. A bit has to do with nationalism. They want to cheer on the players from their country to show pride and all..and.because koreans are just flat out better than the foreigners by the ro8 comes, usually all the foreigners are weeded out and it becomes a Korean vs Korean thing. Instead of caring about where they come from, if you're a true fan of the game, you should be caring about the games themselves and the quality of it as they've been a treat to watch (Life vs Polt, Innovation vs Leenock, Bomber vs Goswser) I can understand their point of view though...because when all koreans are eliminated (which never happens usually), I usually just tune out of the tournament unless its something special like Vortix vs Lucifron or something. If that was a serious post about "old glory when they're invited less koreans", the person's completely delusional. MLG Summer Championships and this tournament IS the glory era right now. The last MLG and this one is arguably the best ones to date..and I've watched all the MLGs from the 2nd one onwards.

Best part is that for the Ro4, there is a very high likelihood of a representative from each race. Life is a heavy favorite vs Last (although..I cant tell if Last has been playing THAT impressive or the foreign counterparts have been just that bad..guessing its a bit of both) There is no way.. of these 3 match ups: Rain vs INnovation Parting vs Flash MC vs Bomber that all Ps or all Ts are going to win. it'll be likely 2 of one race and 1 of the other. Shaping up to be an A+ tournament in terms of quality, although the tournament deserves a C+ for the terrible delays.

I would bet my ass that we will easily beat the numbers of yesterday but we can't deny that if last or someone was, instead, naniwa or stephano, we would easily get larger numbers That is exactly what I am denying. You have to see the average, not a single match up. Life vs Naniwa probably would end in a 3-0 in no time and while I think Naniwa is an outstanding player if he brings his a-game and Life would be a tough match for even the best Protoss in the world, it would still be more interesting to see. If it would happen on a more regular basis that we would get a foreigner vs Korean quarterfinal or semifinal even we would have larger viewer numbers because its interesting. This way you can actually F5 30 minutes after the start and see a 3-0 most of the time. Viewercount yesterday was 80 000? If today isn't 100 000 I really don't believe Starcraft itself has a lot of fans. Edit: I would agree though that most of the people would stay up longer to watch a foreigner play instead of two Koreans regardless of the quality.

The xenophobia of this community shesh. If I were winning and got booed I'd totally play off the crowd. "You guys can boo me all you want but at the end of the day that isn't going to stop me from coming on your soil and taking my share of the pie."
