Indeed, was also smart how in one engagement he kept zerglings under the ball of mutas so the bounces would hit them
He was even down an upgrade in the last major engagements

I know you actually have to aim your Fungals now but is that really such a scary concept to Zerg players? Because one infestor means two less mutas? One decent fungal is worth so much more than 2 Mutas isn't it? The problem is the transition, Infestation Pit, Pathogen Glands, and a couple of Infestors means you'll be behind by quite a few Mutas until you catch everything in that fungal and you can die during that time.

Why do they not micro wounded muta's to the back? Is it really better to just a-move and pray? If so it is kind of sad.

Nope.
With the new buffs to speed and regeneration to Mutas, Plus,it easier to dodge the new fungals.
You can't afford to go for infestors unless you are way ahead.

Additionally, if you don't chain fungal and kill all the mutas outright then the health regeneration negates the effects of the fungals.

Can anyone tell what they all have in common? If you're implying that snute was a 'patchzerg' then you clearly never watched any of his games... Snute was practicing WoL presumably under the impression that there would still be two big WoL tournaments left. Watch and see as after a few months Snute is back competing at the top level. Snute has about as many Hots games as a lot of others and I bet Snute will not be able to compete at the level he did in Lings of Liberty. Snute streamed WoL during basically the entire HotS beta.. He has not played as much HotS as the other guys.

If you micro back your weaken muta, you lose dps, so you lose the fight.
And yes, it's just bad and sad.
Maybe they should try hydra infestor swarmhost.

Have Nathanias passed out?

because it's hard to tech there without falling behind. Infestation pit+pathogen is 2.5mutas. Plus an infestor is 4mutas that you are behind.
I think there is a point where you should mix them in, but that point has to get figuered. Like, right at the start when both go mutas... you absolutly cannot do it because lacking 4+ mutas in a 10ish mutalisk count is very harsh. Also infestors don't pay off quite at that point even if they get decent hits off, due to the AoE nature.
Edit: Also the new health regeneration makes retreating after getting fungaled really forgiving for the mutalisk player. You regain health faster than the Infestor regains fungals.

For you not watching GSL, I suggest you tune in!
+ Show Spoiler +Bbyong, Sniper and soO in tiebreakers, everyone is derping so hard all the time. Landing 25ish vikings in zerg main base to lose them to brood lord infestor, forgetting to wall in, rerooting spine when marines are close. It's hilarious atm!

has he really hotkeyed the rocks into his muta group?

SH's vs SH's would look even better than mutas fight

at least in BW focusfire made a huge difference in muta vs muta, should be the same here. But other than that, there is not much you can do ^^

why did violet saturate his 3rd mineral line going over 65 drones, the minerals dont seem very useful in muta wars
