Well he's the first one to be on a whole other level than almost every other player.
Were you watching from january to april last year?
mkp was around then to stop DRG though haha
Didn't MKP win before january? Pretty sure drg was stomping mkp past that point.
no, early 2012 was mkp stomping ground
My mistake, I thought he won after April or before January lol.
No it was approximately at the same time and there was this series of MLG finals between them.
I know there was a series between them for some reason I just remember drg winning an MLG then a GSL. Probably should have consulted liquipedia

maybe you need to be a terran player to realize how freaking difficult it is to do what bogus was doing. microing your hellions everywhere denying creep whilst macroing is very unforgiving. It was spectacular play really.
THIS. Ofc DRGs APM are mostly macro, creepspread etc. But ofc you could never ever multitask like Innovation does, and Micro, Zerg is just not made for it and I think because terran have to do that all the time since the beginning of sc2, while Zerg don't have to do it for the win (i don't say IMBA, its just different to play), OFC Innovations Multitasking und (real)APM are much higher and more valuable
watch Life and talk about no potential for Z micro/multitask

Only reason Nestea wasn't mid-late 2011 is because Mvp had wrists. :<<< If Mvp had wrists now, Life would look very mortal methinks.
But I'm biased, so.
I think too, he'd probably be the sc2 bonjwa. But when you look at Life play, god he does so many things that no other Z do, like 10pooling like a boss and winning with it, muta/ling micro and so on. It's way more impressive imo than Nestea (who's fucking smart and good at exploiting builds in a wild metagame) and DRG had lots of competition.

Not outplayed. Innovation is being overhyped, DRG made some crucial errors in both games which cost him that(Very un-DRG like mistakes)
Just admit that Innovation was better than DRG. No need for poor excuses.
Not poor excuses, don't hype someone just for the case of hype. He is good but not what Tastosis or anyone else is hyping him up to be.
Some people don't hype just to hype. If you look into little details of specific games you can tell when someone is on fire. After Mvp won his first TvT in the Ro64 of his first GSL victory (I forgot who it was against, maybe Hyperdub?) nobody really knew who Mvp was and he wasn't impressing, but I instantly said right there. "That's it. Mvp is going to win this whole tournament. I'm following him." and it happened.
I'll go on a whim and say Innovation is going to do the impossible and win this GSL as well. I believe he can shut down Life.
Doubt that. Life looks far more invincible than Bogus.
Not when Soulkeys in his group. Soulkey looked more invincible then Life last time they played. Soulkey gave Life a 4-0 sweep.
Life won almost pretty much everything he entered recently. 1 serie doesn't tell much about Soulkey's skill overall.
Soulkey absolutely smashed Taeja in his best match up 2-0 in GSL. Also Soulkey beat Life in 2 series. 0-2 and 0-2 for Life. It was sniper who won last GSL not Life. Just because you have won pretty much everything you entered recently doesn't mean that there isn't somebody who can stop you. Life is going to have a difficult road ahead of him, especially since the only 3 Kespa players are still in Code S and are getting better and better each and every game.

I think he's more impressive than NesTea also, but we are ~16 months further on from there so its fair that the talent has increased as well as the meta.

Rationally speaking, I have to agree with you 100%, Life's playing so well and he's got such a style that I can't really find a fault in his play. If I liked the guy, which I should but I'm irrational, he would be close to my favourite player.
But since I hate Life for denying Mvp's fifth, no he's terrible and you're wrong. :<
