so has anyone calculated zvx winrates for this tourney?

ZvT 66% (25-13)

ZvP 67% (27-13)

Somebody correct me if I'm incorrect, I don't really want to believe.

i counted

15-25 for TvZ
14-24 for PvZ

Seems balanced to me

Symbol against TLO went to 3-2. And it's a ZvZ, foreigner vs korean. The gap between foreigners and koreans is not that huge.

If it weren't for ZvZ, PvP or ZvP foreigners would be out of luck

I want to believe that the people advancing simply played better, but it's disheartening to see that the only Zerg that lost in the Ro8 was in fact playing against another Zerg. I really want to believe that for this tournament, Symbol, Stephano, XlorD and Snute were the best four players, but it gets increasingly difficult...

fixed ! :D

Yea because its not like Thorzain and Mana has won major tournaments in the last 6 months is it?. I said this for 6m onths the top EU players can compete with the koreans(-minus Stephano he dont count) and slowly the gap is closing. I don't think EU will never ever get equal to Korea since Korea got so many more pro players. But its for sure looked better in 2012 then 2011 in EU

I wish the Xlord semi was first.
If Xlord wins, I want him to play Stephano in the finals. But that means I have to want Stephano to beat Snute now, just in case, whereas really I would like Snute to win generally.

It's warranted though, PvZ is a terrible coinflippy matchup that is pretty much two or three base all in or die for protoss.

Major tournaments in name but if you look at Mana's run for example it wasn't exactly stacked with koreans..

Snute and Stephano have both had great runs this tourney. Just look at who they've beaten.

Lol?!

what, statistically speaking; the coin has a 51% chance of landing on the side it was originally tossed on...initially. i.e. a coin starting on heads has a 51% chance to land on heads and vice-versa; however I don't want to start flying over people heads with the fundamental laws of mechanics.
