I think people will agree with me that I can't wait for HotS to inject some variety (and increased skillcap) into the game. Watching Stephano's interview made me sad (when he says mechanics don't matter as zerg)

Isn't it 51% for one side? I think it is.

if you throw 101 times it is

cause everyone knows, that it depens on the number of flips

So then it is 51% - 50%?
...

unless one side of the coin got a patch, then it gets 67-33%

HAAHAHAAHAAH

AWSM!

I love how people keep saying "patch" and probably have no idea what it actually was or did.

Lol?!

what, statistically speaking; the coin has a 51% chance of landing on the side it was originally tossed on...initially. i.e. a coin starting on heads has a 51% chance to land on heads and vice-versa; however I don't want to start flying over people heads with the fundamental laws of mechanics.

"A patch".

Symbol against TLO went to 3-2. And it's a ZvZ, foreigner vs korean. The gap between foreigners and koreans is not that huge.

And I also remember Stephano being dominated by MKP and MMA at IPL 4. Funny how times have changed.

It's the same nonsens like saying all of those 4 players in the finals are CLEARLY better than everyone else and definitely the top players in europe.

I want to believe that the people advancing simply played better, but it's disheartening to see that the only Zerg that lost in the Ro8 was in fact playing against another Zerg. I really want to believe that for this tournament, Symbol, Stephano, XlorD and Snute were the best four players, but it gets increasingly difficult...

Snute and Stephano have both had great runs this tourney. Just look at who they've beaten.

I know, and that's the point. I haven't watched all the games, but from what I've seen, they played good and beat some of the great players. But were they simply better or were they simply playing the better race? I don't mean to say they don't deserve it - I'm just getting frustrated with ZvZ for the semis, the 3rd/4th match, and the finals...

It was on the Acer website, it was like a 40 minute interview. In it he says there are definitely patch zergs and that players like DRG have way better mechanics but that it doesn't matter.

The gap is not closing. The best foreigners play at EGTL and they don't even get to play in Proleague and when they play the get smacked. Stephano is the only exception I think.

All zerg semis won't make me tune-out but if they keep being so defensive about it and repeat how it doesn't matter I'll be gone from pure annoyance.
