I took a look at the winrates of this event.
TvP 56,5%
TvZ 37,5%
PvZ 30,8%

ZvZ finals are slowly making me lose interest in SC2 and that's really distressing. Even GomTvT was ok.

I love HomeStory Cup and the personalities of the players/casters are a delight to watch/listen to so I'll of course keep watching this. It still makes me unhappy to have had ZvZ finals at so many major events.
It's like looking into the eye of a duck and sucking all the fluid from its beak.

Like ~66% winrate in both match-ups. Pretty devastating.

ZvT 66% (25-13)

ZvP 67% (27-13)

Somebody correct me if I'm incorrect, I don't really want to believe.

It seems they got themselves a race.

You know what else has a 50% winrate for both sides? A coinflip. Its dumb to focus on whether the game has a 50/50 winrate because that does not mean the game is skillful it means its even.

"A patch".

Symbol against TLO went to 3-2. And it's a ZvZ, foreigner vs korean. The gap between foreigners and koreans is not that huge.

How fitting that the last major tournament of the year(?) ends with a ZvZvZvZ. 2012 was the year of the Zerg.:p Shame TLO couldn't beat Symbol, probably would have revitalized his career.

Isn't it 51% for one side? I think it is.

If it weren't for ZvZ, PvP or ZvP foreigners would be out of luck

The 'gap' was never huge in mirror match-ups.
So as long as one race dominates foreigners will stand a good chance.
Unless that race is terran of course.

It's not Snute's fault he doesn't lose maps, skewing that winrate.
Like Tinkerbelle, I leave behind a sparkly residue.
