Naniwa beat both of them, thus Naniwa advanced.

In a mini league, consisting of these three, the map-scores are

Nani: 3-2
NE: 3-3
ForGG: 2-3

They didn't play tiebreaker but between them Naniwa had 3-2, Nightend 3-3 and Forgg 2-3 in maps... That's why nani advenced

Yeah, sorry - you're right; I seem to recall Naniwa beating Nightend - but obviously not. I don't think they played tiebreakers, but my guess would be mapscore between the three. Naniwa lost 1-2 to Nightend but beat ForGG 2-0, wheras ForGG beat Nightend 2-1, meaning the mapscore between those three would be Naniwa 3-2, ForGG 2-3, Nightend 3-3.

Compared to (any?) other tournament, most of which are payed for in my case (GSL, MLG, etc), it's great to see the (free) HD stream at DreamHack. And especially the quality of the 'HD'.

The ones I pay for seem sub-par in the graphics/quality department, when compared. Other free ones are usually of less quality and especially the recent BWC was quite terrible. Also, even GSL/MLG vods are still relatively bad quality, when watching on 'HD'.

I've been watching tournaments for a long time now and feel DH tops the list every year. Good quality, for free, no lag, no crap (except for not knowing your own rules, but ok :D ).

Tl;dr: Just wanted to say: thanks DreamHack, much <3

You are so K biased, you really think with home field advantage, few caring about Taeja, 90% rooting for Thorzain, he would get 3-0? I mean Thorzain is way down yeah but he will give Taeja a game or 2. Thorzain only seems to perform at Dreamhack.
Nerchio 3-2 sounds right.
Naniwa just came back 0-2 to get here. I think he's feeling it now and may do better than expected.
If anyone gets 3-0 its Snute. But Hero messes up a game as usual so good call.

Taeja 3-2 Thorzain
Nerchio 3-2 Mana
Naniwa 3-1 Monchi
HerO 3-1 Snute

Taeja 3-2 Nerchio (Taeja shows signs of fatigue and almost lets Nerchio win)
Hero 3-0 Naniwa (Just tilts)

Hero 4-2 Taeja (Taeja breaks against the grueling Hero warp prisms harrass and wrist hurt Taeja too much #liquid2012)

Am I allowed to say, I would love to see Thorzain beat Taeja and Nerchio? So epic you either could have TZain vs. Naniwa good vs. evil, or EG vs. Liquid + Korean vs. Foreigner final? That I would pay to see.. Hero isn't a lock either.

Nani, king of comebacks... still remember GSL Season 3, his comebacks after losing the first set in both rounds. I was always like "Oh well, he's out," and then got serious nerdgazms when he came back... this was pretty much like that.

Too bad his road ahead is more PvP's, but beating a kid from the hands down easiest group should be doable, and HerO is known for his bad PvP as well... and then there's just TaeJa in a matchup he's fairly comfortable with.

Well, at least I can hope. ^^

I think HerO is actually regarded is a pretty beastly PvP players these days. Only one he really loses to is Rain and... everybody does.

Considering Rain had a negative PvP record in his last tournament, everybody is maybe a bit over the top.

When Rain barely lost to Mvp in the semifinals is when he was on form and destroying everybody except Mvp, he showed some of the best PvP we've ever seen.
