IdrA vs. RorO (54) Stephano vs. HerO (52) Nerchio vs. Creator (33) Major vs. herO[jOin] (19) Curious vs. TitaN (17) PartinG vs. Socke (16) MaFia vs. Rain (10) 201 total votes Your vote: Biggest potential upset against a Korean on Day 1? (Vote): PartinG vs. Socke Voted Socke vs PartinG here. Stephano winning over HerO would not be an upset. IdrA vs RorO would be one hell of an upset, but I don't consider that particularly potential. Nerchio vs Creator, its certainly possible for Nerchio to win here, but Creator has been playing so unbelivably good lately so I wouldn't bet on it. However, Socke (being the underdog of course) could have a chance to take out PartinG. PartinG's been playing kinda bad lately (IPL Fightclub and last night's GSL weren't exactly spectacular) + it's a PvP so you never really know what's gonna happen.

A match between Stephano and Roro is tough to call, but simply based on the quality of practice you have to give the advantage to Roro. And if Stephano continues his tendency to build a relatively low amount of infestors, that could very well kill him if the match drags on. Finally, Idra winning any match would be an upset, but not a big one. ZvZ is a much more stable match-up these days, but it is still hard being much better than your opponent. ZvP, well, that may depend more on Hero's form than on Idra's. Chance of advancing: 65% Hero 60% Roro 55% Stephano 20% Idra

Not whining, just preparing. ![]() I know your GSL watching times are terrible and Dreamhack starts stupidly early but IEM isn't really european, the next one is in Singapore. GSL is also not the best for us because most of us have work/school in the morning.

Hmm, how do you spread out 7 Koreans and Stephano through 8 groups? Like this apparently. It's possible to make the semi's without beating anyone stronger than Scarlett. It's also possible for Stephano and Rain to face off in the round of 16. Just wow. This is why you should have at least a loser's bracket.

For something like this, there's really no better way to seed groups.

Nerchio would have a higher % if he wouldnt have to go against Creator first. Lowely had an incredible drawing luck. Would be at 10-30% in most other groups.

Good results lately versus strong zerg opponents and he must have been preparing for the tournament since MLG a week and a half ago. Though Stephano made Crank look silly, his results in the match-up lately have been, at best, shaky. On top of that, Hero should be less strained by travel, though Stephano seems pretty impervious to fatigue. Finally, the map-pool for WCS is good for protoss. There is a reason why Korean protoss so dominated the Asian part of the qualifier.
