Doing a ton of drops, not killing a significant amount of drones or any tech or hatcheries, losing your 4th to a ling runby. Getting your push delayed enough that it fails to hit before its designed timing, thus gets countered, so you're scrambling to get out units to combat an army you are now unprepared for is great play. Yeah, Maru played great this series, but lost because the game is imbalanced, certainly not the other way around... LOL... To be fair, the amount of damage that drops can do is more dependent on the zerg than the terran... Terran can try multi drops but if zergs splits his army properly, not much the terran can do.

Yeah, Maru played great this series, but lost because the game is imbalanced, certainly not the other way around... LOL... In the first game when Tastosis were still hyping Maru, he lost 5 marines to deny 2 creep tumors. Tastosis was going "what a great move" and I was thinking "that was so not worth it". In the same game, he lost two marine drops (medivac+8 rines) to kill an extractor each, in the first case it was not even mined from. He had overall just a pretty bad day today, making micro errors and bad decisions left and right. No need to get upset about TvZ today. There are still Terrans to look out for that can make a deep run: Gumiho, MVP, MKP and Keen (yes Keen, he looks good lately).

This is true, silly me ^^ Was more that MVP looked dominant prior and then got trounced while every other terran flew through. Mb the opposite will happen like last season

This type of logic can be assesed to everything you do in the game. the point is you need tp create enough points of pressure that will give you enough return of investment even vs opponent who will react properly (but not extraordinary). If your strategy depends only and only on your opponent screwing something then it becomes more of a dice roll kinda like 14cc.

TvZ you have a VERY VERY small timing window to hit before blords are out. And with the threat of constent runbys and counter attacks it's extremely hard to effectively hit this window.

![]() The problem is, that you are not allowed to even make small mistakes as terran in that matchup because the chances of a costefficient trade are very small without the zerg screwing up completely (hello roro!). Both Soulkey and Curious played nearly flawless standard TvZ and that's actually insanely hard to crack!

But in the current meta, terrans seems to 'need' to play aggressively and do damage. Granted, terrans have the most ways to be aggressive.
