Might be a mistake. I obviously can't tell for sure but I'm anticipating the ZvZ to be really good. Both these guys aren't likely to give up any easy macro/micro or positional wins so I'm hoping we'll see some creative use of Zerg mobility to gain the better positions (drops/nydus/fake drops/burrow moves etc).

Yeah Kespa games tend to be much more dynamic with their multitask.
Btw watching Rain and Roro FPVods is funny.. it's like they're having epileptic seizures with how fast they jump back and forth between their scouting workers and base. I've never really seen any players streaming who do it quite as fast.

hope flash learned from Soo's games against Baby, Soo is weak against mid game aggression and does fine against early rush / late game. break him with some 2 base shenanigans.

well Soo was ahead from the midgame when flash had some super bad engagements. He nearly managed to come back several times, but couldn't execute it at its best when necessary

Flash's lack of splitting really did him in. After Flash initially took out soO's 4th the game was in danger of simply snowballing out of control but the huge fungal and baneling hits saved soO's ass.

Terrans can win in lategame IF they can do enough damage to slow down the zerg in the mid game with drops. But that depends more on the zerg not defending well (not spotting drops) and less on the terran's execution per se.

Terran's only answer to Zerg late game is for the zerg to be the most passive player ever and let the terran mass up some retarded combination. Where as zerg late game combination is standard against any combination of terran or protoss ._.

Who likes the existence of this composition in the game, honestly? Even when I play Zerg I hate this composition (although I use it vs Protoss at times simply because I suck ZvP). ZvT I never go BL's unless in select scenarios vs mech, just because my god it's fucking boring.

His play in these last two TvZ series has been geared towards an incredibly strong 2/2 timing off 3 base. Getting a fourth doesn't make much sense with this, as he is essentially all-in with the push. With the ridiculous amount of tanks he has and the fact that he doesn't get 3/3 to maximise his one pre-BL timing, he can't just kill one base then fall back on 4 base Terran. He needs to cripple the Zerg before broodlords come out or he's pretty dead.

Terran has to do damage to zerg before late game or its almost an auto loss unless zerg just sits around letting the player get hoards of ravens with full energy with HSM...which rarely happens...
It's ridiculous how the transition to BL requires the zerg unit to make the anti-air unit that complements the BL. I feel as though, if they change the fungal growth to plague, it wouldnt be as bad...but I suppose...they'll never reintroduce a bw unit spell to a sc2 unit

And come on guys, I loathe infestor broodlord and the fact that I'm forced into playing it (I'm Z), but the series vs Effort and at least game 7 vs Soo (I didn't catch the first 6 yet) came down more to Flash playing an outdated tank-heavy style that we rarely ever see anymore TvZ. I understand complaining about infestor broodlord after games like the first two games of Leenock vs Taeja, but the apparent unbeatableness of it didn't decide this series.

I only caught the first two games, but they seem like very normal Flash-esque losses where it seems like he played a bit too passive, letting the Zerg very easily get the army needed to crush Flash's army once he started pushing.

He does get a 4th base however through analyzing effort/flash series, you can see that he like to keep an optimized 3 base economy throughout the entire game. He seems to always make his fourth when his main is starting to mine out.,
Flash seems really vunerable to those burrowed infestor runby as he rarely gets detection at his entrance.

He's still growing as a player in sc2.
Once he realizes the power of the Raven I feel as though he'll use it more.
Although theres minimal uses for the auto turret compared to the irradiate ability as one of the staples of TvZ in bw was the eraser technique.. I feel if they reworked also the HSM ability, the game may become more fun to watch from a spectator standpoint *shrugs*

Oh, I agree with you. But it seems Blizzard was planning a buff and didn't implement because Mvp won IEM.

Its alright terran gets spider mines and tank hellions which will help us death ball harder in the mid game, or something. Soon every terran's average win time is going to be between 12-18 minutes.

well i didn't see the games but it's sad to see flash drop out.
but more important for flash imo is: that he qualifies for code s in about 30h from now.
let's see if he can beat the other races or if he just needs more practice/experience in sc2.

And you know what the sad thing is? If I were Blizzard I wouldn't be that motivated to perfectly balance WoL for two reasons.
First, the clock is ticking for WoL, even if they were to balance it perfectly they would have wasted a lot of effort, because with the new HotS units the whole metagame changes.
Second, let's assume Blizzard balances WoL perfectly: I bet there would be a lot of haters who couldn't "enjoy" HotS as much as WoL because of the balance issue. In essence, the overall acceptance of HotS would be in "danger".
Fun assumption: HotS won't be perfectly balanced either because of LotV in the works.

The name of the game is "Keep WoL sufficiently decent." If they let WoL deteriorate too much, then no one will want HotS. But of course, they would never want to perfectly balance either game
