Naniwa played amazingly just now. That was a VERY technical game, no one can deny Naniwa is really rethinking and reevaluating his play and style well... He just keeps coming out with all these surprise builds, its a nice change of pace from his past one dimensional play where he would do the EXACT same thing every game.

both players played really well. If i could choose one game to explain to someone what the TvP metagame is this would be perfect.
If only thorzain had managed to get some counter aggression (M&M runbys and drops), but i think that lost 3rd was what stopped him. Great play by both players. Naniwa played the perfect game, and i'm amazed by the fact that thorzain held on for as long as he did.

I was actually slightly terrified when he hit the emp on the 4 HT lol. I thought he would lose that fight. Those immortals did surprisingly well though.

I thought Naniwa was going to bop Thorzain, but it's actually a really close series so far. Thorzain being able to hold on for so long in Game 3 on Daybreak was pretty amazing.
Naniwa is such a prick. Just "g"'s out of the first game he lost and then rage quits this game vs Tzain, one of the nicest pro's out there. How does this guy have any fans ffs.

Naniwa has fans purely because of where he was born, and the fact that he is good at starcraft 2. If he was korean and acted like that no-one would like him.

I've honestly never understood the communities requirement to gg.. If you don't think it was a good game, who cares? I mean, he lost like 30 probes right in the beginning, he was probably a little bit flustered lol. Most of the time people say gg no matter what, to me, that is akin to lying when you get cheesed or whatever.

What about Idra? hehehehehehe
Well you're proving his point too. Koreans don't like bm players, but foreigners love bm players. So if he was a bm korean, then koreans wouldn't like him and foreigners probably wouldn't that much either compared to a bm foreigner.

that's not exactly what i was saying. What i am saying is that with non-korean players, there isn't really much choice if you want to support a player who will do well at tournaments. If you say that most people usually support players who play their race, then Naniwa is pretty much the no1 choice for non-korean protoss fans, no matter how much of an unbearable childish asshole he is when he plays.

IdrA rarely BM's in tournaments nowadays, especially vs Koreans or Top-Tier foreigners. He will BM when he gets allin'd by like Hawk or someone like that, and when he streams. He also does a lot of other content like ITG, EG videos, and he streams a lot unlike Naniwa.

It doesn't matter if Idra doesn't bm in tourneys much anymore. His fanbase is already established and it was established because of his bm as well as being a good foreigner, but the bm made him stand out from the rest. While I'm not going to say every foreigner loves bm, enough of them love bm so guys like idra, naniwa, nerchio, destiny, etc became as popular as they have. Foreigners consider bm, "personality."

BS. Naniwa has fans because he is the one of the only foreigners in the world that cares more about being the best than the money. At least that is why he is pretty much the only foreigner I like.

Him not being born in Korea is what qualifies him as a foreigner.

is he though? How can you even begin to qualify that statement? How many other foreigners are there that don't only care about the money?

He's the only one that chooses GSL over tons of foreign tournaments.

he was the only one at the moment. Huk, Jinro, Idra all did as well.
I can stream in 1080 fine, but anything less than that is pretty much unwatchable. It stutters and slideshows as I try to turn it down. I don't wanna hog all the band width here and I wanna watch a couple other streams... but this is just unwatchable on anything but 1080. Anyone else find this?!? TY in advance.

They don't last. Look at idra's stream numbers, he's down below to like a 1/3rd of what he used to get. Don't worry friend, his time will run out. He's already out of gsl and kespa is here in full force. It's "g" for him

Simply said, he's that good.
It's really a shame he wasn't in any featured matches because he's clearly the one who deserves it. There are a lot of people who don't follow KeSPA players and they should get to know them better because there are a lot of skilled ones. Unfortunately this tournament setup is not helping at all. We can only hope that BaBy will get far in playoffs and people will finally notice him.

But he has a positive record against the kespa players so how do you come to that conclusion?
Anybody else still unable to watch the stream on anything under 1080P? It plays on 1080 for me but my internet can't handle it and its choppy as hell, but if I try dropping to 480p I get a black screen. Tried restarting my comp, tried several browsers, tried clearing my cache and cookies, hell I even reinstalled flash. Nothing is working.
