There is one thing that I hate about this community. Once a name is not listed in liquipedia or had a news at tl.net people don't care and think about other players as waste or garbage. So this is the way you want your E-Sports to grow big? LOL big times.. srsly guys..

Well without trying to be disrespectful, most of the players aren't very good in this tournament. So is it strange a lot of people don't really care about this? Nope, has nothing to do with esports, thats how it works in general.

If anyone takes out Squirtle in a PvP, Sen wins. Otherwise it should be Squirtle beating Sen in the finals.
|
I don't see the finals being anything other then Squirtle vs Sen/Sortof
|
weird that this tournament 'takes place' in south korea, but only has 1 korean. i'm very confused and didn't even hear about this tournament until this posting. glad khaldor has extra work though. good for him.

Giantt got this ;P
edit: I meant the tournament ofc! He is up 1-0 on Socke
|
|
|
Giantt 2-0 Socke, interesting game...
|
this tournament is like free money for squirtle :/.. Get some ladder practice, stomp on foreigners, get a few hundred bucks out of it

Tú: did u win
Enrique Guillermo: i lost a stupid game vs nightend 1-2 last one was ... stupid i thought i win
Tú: pffffffffffffff no
Enrique Guillermo: i was thinking on next round .... no sense xD really no sense like i was 3 base vs 2 base ( i killed his third ) and i was 160 supply vs 89
|
Squirtle won 2-1 vs Zanubis? :o
|
Sortof lost his Ro16 match? Sen's path to the finals has been cleared. Squirtle will have to make it through 2 more PvPs so his road is more treacherous.

If Verdi took out Sortof, he can take out Sen aswell.

I also still think Giantt can beat anyone in the top half of the bracket (even bottom) if he 2-0'ed Socke... He is top 8 GM on EU, that's no small feat, he just needs the results to back up his recent rise in skill.

Welmu has a good chance of making the finals based off PvP. He always seems to pull 'Upsets' whenever i watch him play PvP

Tyler Wasieleski @LiquidNonY man fuck gsl i got fucked on this world championship thing -_- boycott dat shit
Somone know something about this?

will be surprised if squirtle doesn't destroy everyone and win
|
I dont get why Nightend didnt go for a two-base all-in cuz he got ahead against the 7-pool.....and then later denying the third got him furhter ahead....2 base would be really strong IMO.....but instead you are giving the zerg a chance with zero harass... Dont like the turtle style ;O
|

He has 2 PvPs to get to finals. Who knows what will happen, he did drop a game against a pretty unknown protoss in Ro16.
|
"And btw, Squirtle is out, lost to monchi 1:2" :O (on the ticker at the bottom)
|
Wow... I can't believe Squirtle lost.
|
Very boring ZvPs between Giantt and NightEnD. A turtle until max with spines game after a 7 pool, and a 2 base blink all-in. NightEnD seems to have his number as he is now 6-0 vs Giantt including WCS Combined Europe Finals, and IeSF. Not counting his matches against NightEnD, Giantt is 13-1 in those tournaments...

Woohoo great job monchi. No matter how wide the gap between foreigners and koreans is we can always depend on PvP. Sen your paycheck just got fatter, don't blow it.

And by proxy Rain's beating of Hero now looks a lot less impressive too?

Oh yeah

Sup all you Sen and Squirtle lovers

who the hell is monchi? why is he so good

May I quote myself. There is no safe bet in Bo3 PvP.

PvP is a volatile matchup and there are some decent tosses in Socke, Welmu, Nightend, monchi and Verdi. Squirtle is the huge favourite, but an upset is possible.
Or was it just that Fionn cursed Squirtle?
Anyways: Go monchi!

Gooooooooo Masterok! What a weird tournament, all these guys who were last heard from at the end of last year are making a huge comeback!

Whoever said that Squirtle could lose in a PvP upset yesterday in the thread called that so well.
EDIT: ^^ Oh look at that, someone already quoted it a few posts ago.

Zanubis on Facebook:Lost 2-1 to Squirtle, really close games all of them. Cant send the replays, but game 1 he went blink vs my 4g and I have won. game 2 I went DT and he went robotics. Game 3 was him going blink and winning. GG's until next big korean pvp player Squirtle: "u control so so good, so good" Damn, so close

Heh, compare to Squirtle, probably. But out of the 4, you were the least surprising...

Monchi is so good, I always knew it. But he got dominated by Nightend last time they played, afaik.
Goooo monchi!

I dunno if Fionn's curse is that strong or if PvP is that much random (but seeing as Zanubis took a map off of Squirtle I guess it's the latter lol) but such a result is just sad for the state of sc2.
