My main issue with stephano is that he talks big despite having never participated in the best tourney in the world, the GSL. He's pretty much up against at best Code A material atm, and thats being generous.
Maybe if he actually grew some balls and actually went to korea with the big boys, I'd respect the guy a lot more.

it would be a huge disappointment if stephano never entered the gsl. he has to do it at some point, he just has to.

He doesn't have to. He makes more money staying away from Korea and if that's all he's interested in, why would he move?

lol Grubby has an excellent personality, decent play, and is respected in the community, in part for his WC3 career (though someone correct me if I am wrong on this, but wasn't he bm at some point, long long ago, and it had caused some controversy?)

As for Stephano, I think that his arrogance is probably a little bit of an act as well. He is pretty much like an occasionally bm/non-korean version of MC, at least to me. But I dig it. As long as he performs, I like his character as part of the sc2 professional community. I don't think it is hurting e-sports xD

Thanks to a wedding, I didn't get to watch a single game of what looks like was an incredible tourney. Where can I find a recommended games list, should one exist? If there isn't one, are there any sets that are must see? From the sound of the LR thread, Stephano had some awesome ZvZ micro/decision making.

Day 1 Stephano v Lucifron was the best series by popular consensus. Entire series is good

Day 2 Grubby against Nerchio, game 2 I think was also a sick game

grubby can take down basically any foreigner except stephano and he's taken down many koreans as well in tournaments. he's also been competing in esports for about 10 years. that's just the tip of the iceberg as to why someone would like him.
