Sadly I feel the same way. Im gonna watch anyway just to show support for TSL, but its a little uninteresting.
Why? You don't like good players?
They didn't say the players weren't good, except you can see this each week, in every Korean weekly. Just thought TSL4 would be more unique in this respect; and it was, with all the foreigners, but that was in the much earlier rounds. I'm enjoying myself, but in the same way I enjoy KSL.
I just find it a bit dis-respectful to the players to claim that a tournament is disinteresting just because of the flag on their passport.
At least to me it didnt seem like the problem was that they are korean. The problem he was talking about (at least it seemed to me) is the lack of uber known players (note known and not skilled). If the players were euro or NA the sentence would still be the same but instead of korean insert EU or NA.
Or he is just one of those people that hate koreans in SC2 idk...but at least to me it didnt seem like that was the problem but instead the lack of big names.

It's only because all the flags are the same, not just because of the specific country. That's just how it is, competitions are more compelling if the viewer has someone to identify with like an underdog or someone of their own nationality or region, but if it's all people from one country it's less interesting and it's unavoidable.

But then he claimed TSL 3 was interesting when the finals were two nobodies that achieved nothing of note in Warcraft 3.

It was interesting because it was the first time the Korean vs Foreigners really began, add to that people love when foreigners make upsets(Thorzains run) it made for a more interesting tournement than TSL4 so far

Naniwa was known before the TSL and Thorzain made a name for himself during TSL3. It was a different scenario, the other players were well known, TZ was the underdog beating the famous players and because of that he was liked and never got the tag of random warcraft3 now playing sc2.

Naniwa was very notable during WC3.... just not for the right reasons.
