you need to be able to showcase a variety of styles in TvT, otherwise you become predictable and the other opponent can punish you for it with the correct build order. ...but then why are they called bancheese? it was bancheese when you could go banshee before depot, but that is long gone. That 11/11 banshee cheese that some player, I think a root terran used against idra was the funniest thing ever.

That was Cauthonluck with the 11 Rax, 11 2*Gas, 11 Factory, 11 Starport
And it's still on Liquipedia: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Cauthonluck_cheese

They can still give you diseases, I learned that the hard and warty way.

No, there are build orders wins/losses too in TvT.
Every TvT build order has it's advantages and disadvantages over one another. But they can all be easily scouted and accounted for with proper scv scouts and scan timings. Even if you are at an disadvantage, you can overcome any difficulties with the proper micro and correct decisions.

It depends on how you see it. His build really left him with no units. He defended quite well considering what he had. He always had an SCV attacking a marine or hellion, which gave him the DPS to hold it off. The two low health marine that he had saved earlier helped as well.
Edit: Didn't matter anyway, since he's gonna die to the follow-up, lol

The only real build order loss is CC first vs Proxies. Otherwise everything else is fair game.

Yep, and that's why TvT is the best matchup. Kinda.

1) buy some clean potato salad, must be of german origins, and must come in a bucket 2) take a can of swedish mayonaisse and put it all in there, mix it well 3) pour in just enough diesel as your heart's content tells you to 4) smear it on some dead guy 5) let your imagination run wild

In many match-ups, it stops a defensive wall-off or prevents other building positions.
With Terrans, it also may confuse you (you can't raise it if your opponent tries to run by), so everyone pretty much kills it after ~5-10 minutes and puts down their own structures there if they want.
