Sick crowd there!

not anymore dude.

Koreans used to CRUSH foreigners a year ago, nowadays you don't see it anymore as most of the games are so close it can go either way (ofc unless theres some gimmicky unscouted all-in).

Rest of the world has caught up with Koreans even though they still practice significantly less. Just goes to show you how low the skill ceiling is in sc2 compared to BW since anyone can beat anyone at the highest level.

Why do people keep saying this? Koreans are still dominating whether you wanna admit it or not. One tournament won't change that.

Remember the time when whenever say 6 Koreans would be invited to foreign tourneys they would take top 6 in convincing fashion?

Those days are long gone and instead of the gap increasing (which is what logically should happen when koreans practice so much more and are much more dedicated) it has decreased and is still decreasing way too fast.

There's no "domination" anymore, it's just who plays better and who's luckier on a given day.

Seriously? The top foreigners can compete with the Koreans somewhat, but to say there is no domination? Hmm.. yeah... that is why all the korean teams are trying to recruit foreigners to strengthen there lineup??? It is kind of like US and the NBA. Sure, the top Europeans do well in the NBA. But to say there is no gap between US and the rest of the world is still ridiculous... And once the Kespa players get more time, the gap is going to increase.

I think Sweden sort of undermines your argument, my friend.

How can people say the gap is about the same as 2011 when the results are so different?

I think the gap is smaller, but Koreans still in lead.

Sure they are.. but gap is way smaller.. look at last big tournemants results..
Dreamhack Mana , HSC Nerchio , NASL will be proably Stephano
What was last big tournament that Korean player Win ? except GSL

except the GSL how many top koreans go to other events?

lol NASL will probably be Stephano? he only has to get past MC to even reach the finals and face one of the other top players. Funny.

Because it's one of the shittest polls I've ever seen.

For starters, it say the skill gap is big, the same as 2011. So if you think the skill gap is big, not just a medium skill gap, you would go for the big gap option. Then from looking at the results, you pull that loads of people think it's the same as 2011.

Just a really stupid poll.

keep telling yourself that, just don't be surprised if Stephano or Ret win NASL (which would have NEVER happened a year ago)

Stephano won IPL3 9 months ago I believe, so it's not that long ago

Was actually the first big foreigner win vs alot of Koreans. I actually think thats was the starting point where the gap started to diminish

it didnt diminish the same few people that could take series before are doing it now, and everyone else is still trailing way below

Alicia has never got a GSL ro4. He is in Code B right now. Second at MLG was his first impressive result in like a year so it could easily be a fluke.

Look, you got the best foreigners vs average koreans (besides MC). You can't really draw conclusions from that.

Calling Alicia/puzzle and Hero average koreans is laughable

Didn't you know? Any Korean not named DRG/Nestea/MVP/MMA/MC is average.
