DRG beats Naniwa. Not a surprise i guess. Naniwa caught DRG off-guard with his so called 1 gate into nexus into 4 gate pressure.Took game 1. Game 2: Naniwa goes void-ray 7 gate all-in gets defended and gg Game3: Try to do the same thing with Game 1 but not so successful and transition into immortals archon /mass zealots with +2/+1 to hit before Bls are out but DRG defended it well with spines/infestor/roach/lings and tech to Bls and Naniwa did not have enough. Game 4: DRG should have had this in the bag had he just teched straight to infestor instead of wasting 1400/1400 into mutas which did absolutely nothing. But nevertheless WP by Naniwa to break into the spine wall and beat DRG with immortal/mass blink stalker in Game 4. Game 5: Same with Game 1 but this time DRG adapted it well and countered it with a 3rd base. Naniwa then went 7-8 gates stalker sentry all-in on the third and managed to kill it and retaining his army.Really good trade. But DRG sneak a hidden 4th base and Naniwa got his third. Mass blink stalkers/immortal/sentry all-in on 3 bases and managed to kill a lot of DRG army but losing all 5 immortals but still retaining stalker count. DRG caught warp prism and killed it before reaching his hidden 5th base.15 infestors for DRG and massive engagement in the middle.Naniwa aggressive blink forward and fungles cause him to lose all his stalkers and DRG proceed to get ultras and stomp the remaining immortal and sentries.GG
Gratz to DRG.Naniwa did leveled up his ZvP for this series but i feel that he should really change up his style a little bit instead of always going 1 gate expand.DRG caught onto it and adapted well and won the series overall the better player.

Should I root for Cloud to win the GSL then? The only rule is to always root for the foreigner! Koreans are foreigners unless you live in Korea Eh, no, not in the world of starcraft.
Was rooting very hard for Naniwa! . There's always next season i guess, hoping he can at least make the semis!

That's funny actually because I was in Germany when the World Cup was on in 2010 and was so butthurt after their match with England I was cheering for Spain to beat them in the next round (sorry Germans ;D)

People seem angry... What did naniwa do wrong this time? Or is it just less satisfying hating on someone who has clearly become a top tier GSL competitor?

He didn't lose hard enough so haters can bash him for being lucky to get that deep in the GSL...

It has become increasingly harder to hate on Nani for his skill, so the bashing has degraded to personal attacks.

Naniwa is making Ro8 Code S twice in a row and will be in Code S next season too. I'm not even a fan of Naniwa but you can't deny that the guy has balls of steel and is easily one of the best protoss in the world. Idra isn't even the best US zerg these days.
God knows why the guy has so many fans. It's like being a fan of Titus Bramble ffs. ive never said Naniwa wasnt a good starcaft player all i said was hes a terrible human being Yeah man. Being socially awkward and a bit BM makes you a terrible human being. Get some perspective. There are people out there who order the deaths of thousands of people just for the sake of a few feet of land or have peoples hands cut off for stealing apples. They are terrible human beings. Naniwa is just rude. a "bit" bm is an understatement, he went into IdrAs fanclub to talk shit about IdrA and there are tons of storys from teams hes been on and palyers hes met that all say hes extremely BM So what. It's IdrA. It's one grade A dickhead mouthing off about another grade A dickhead. Who cares? Only reason IdrA fans feel butthurt about Naniwa is because Naniwa is a Code S level player who is quite rightly telling IdrA where to stick his opinions. IdrA too busy calling out Naniwa, then dodging their showmatch. Idralings are upset Nani dodged more then IdrA, IdrA was ready to play right as Nani called him out but Naniwa waited until IdrA was busy with tournaments to all of a sudden find time to play plus IdrA said in an interview that the showmatch was either going to happen immediately or sometime this summer so he hasnt dodged yet Sorry, IdrA been dodging since day 1. Even cried to JP about how Nani was tweeting at him to set it up. But of course Idra has time go on JP's talk show but not play Nani in the showmatch, seems legit. Naniwa challenges IdrA to play in showmatch then refuses to paly for a couple months, seems legit Sauce? inside the game Ep40 starting at 20 minutes in

About the best foreigner title, i have a question. What builds were created by Naniwa? I only remember the 3 stalker opening in PvP, but i'm not even sure if he invented it. Naniwa seems to be excellent at executing build orders, but he doesn't seem as creative as MC (how many two bases all-in has he invented?) or Stephano in the foreign scene (he literally changed the entire way you play PvZ with his 200/200 max roach army in the 11 minute, and he reintroduced ultras in standard zerg play).
But what does changing the way you play a game has to do with how good you are? The only thing that matters is how good you perform and Naniwa is by far the best foreigner right now, you can't even compare Stephano to Naniwa. Stephano will be in Code S next season (right?) and i'm sure he will get crushed, his play is so predictable that everyone will just prepare for it and stop it. Mark my words.

Naniwa is so awesome. Having pvz as his weakest match up and zvp being DRGs best matchup it's quite insane that he managed to take two games of DRG.
I really hope to see Naniwa enter som foreign tournaments. I understand that he wants to win GSL so badly but I'd like to see him more often!

Every other Protoss does FFE EVERY PvZ. Should they change up a bit too?

Way too much drama in the LR. Did he do anything, or are people just being stupid? people are being stupid they are not just stupid - they are incredible idiots, i can't read it any more ;P
Just curious, what's the difference between being stupid and being incredible idiots? I guess you meant that the latter are somehow further down the scale of stupid, yet incredible idiots also has includes autists, people with problems but who have incredible powers. The idiot savants. The question remains, what are they savants of? I'd say at annoying people and I present PMS (you insensitive bastard) as evidence for my claim.

I don't understand why should we cheer for a douchebag just because he is a foreigner.
