Naniwa is performing really really really good (I mean taking of 2 games off DRG - wtf) in the hardest league in the world. He stood his ground and proved that his gifted spot was not wasted on him. Also I share the opinion about Stephano, I dont think he will get rolled neccessarily but he is more the intuitive player who always knows what to do to kill you; code S is just more focused on preparation and strategies. But I'm excited nonetheless!

Who are you thinking of?

While he clearly is no longer where he was before (comparitively speaking), Huk had some great results for a while. A Dreamhack, multiple MLGs, a Homestory Cup, GSL Ro8 etc. If I had to pick the top foreigner from beta to now it might be him.

To be fair, his style is now considered standard in the ZvT matchup. He pretty much revolutionised that MU, and his 200/200 roach push could be considered a revolution in ZvP at a stretch.

His post didn't imply that Naniwa is the only "douchebag" foreigner. On July 12 2012 23:00 simpabrz wrote: I'm swedish, so I'm simply not allowed to have an opinion on games with swedish players. Yeah, makes sense. Nobody said that and nothing is preventing you from typing and clicking the Post button, bro. They're making excuses for him, and this is why people get annoyed. They completely disregard either how well the opponent played or how bad the other guy is because he is just a cheesing scrub or how badly Naniwa played (which he really didn't in this case, just a few mistakes cost him, but such is the nature of high-level competitive play) and proceed to channel their dissappointment/rage into nonsensical rants about game balance, luck, or some hypothetical situation in which Naniwa would have won believing that he is superior in every way because they can't think of any sensible reason why he lost.

He's a passionate character with a bit of a troubled past and likes to speak his mind. I see so many people on these forums misrepresent Naniwa's personality as one with 'malicious' intent. I guess that's the cost of being different. Anyway, there will always be haters. All I know is that Naniwa proved a lot of people wrong tonight.
