He kept holding at his third with great forcefields, great blink micro, and sniping overseers, after which he dropped 4 DTs from a warp prism and drove the roaches back. Soon as new overseers came, he'd pick them up and this repeated a couple of times until he got a critical mass of blink stalkers and just overran Ret.

MC opened with a standard 4 gate pressure into twilight council/dts. He didn't do anything with the dts and Ret had 3 fully saturated bases so he was falling way behind. MC decided to get a third and defended it from a huge amount of roaches and lings with blink stalkers and dts in a prism while sniping overseers and unloading the dts on the roaches. Ret lost a lot and didn't get the best of the trades, so MC just went for the kill with mass blink stalkers.
MC could have killed the third or lose the DT, but he made use of them to hold the third. Is just crazy how he use them, he has sick decision making on top of his sick micro and macro.

More like how to win a game where you're behind. :p
If you are about to kill MC and then you lose carelesly your overseers, then it's your fault. OFC it's so cool from MC to snipe them, but also a terrible mistake from Ret. No overseer snipe = nexus falls = GG from MC.
Easier said than done, lol.
Honestly Ret was just throwing away overseers, he just had them in his roach control group and 1a'ing them into the stalkers.
as a fan of starcraft 2, this was a really awesome game
as a zerg players, this is very depressing... both protoss and terran have lots of ways to outmicro an opponent... while all zerg has in the midgame is roaches... I don;t evne know what a zerg would do vs that micro,...

And what is your plan to keep your overseers alive against MC ? Cmon MC's micro was so perfect, loosing the overseer was not being careless, it was not yet taking enough care to beat MC.

Well when it's 100 protoss vs 200 zerg something might be amiss, but still..supply counts aren't everything, you're right on that.
It's about how you use it; the numbers don't mean anything. 200 supply zerg on Daybreak is completely different from 200 supply zerg on Metropolis. To say nothing of tech, upgrades, economy, ect.

attempt to micro back?
edit: i mean he ret was a-clicking roaches with his overseers/roaches all in the same group.
He didn't even try. Roaches can be microd very very well, just Zergs never do it unless its zvz for some reason
