Thisisgame asked nani in the interview about the colossus range, genius did not research it and naniwa wasn't aware of it.

So some of us are just telling the people going "omgz!! Naniwa godly micro!! so good!!" to chill out, he was literally behind the whole game, and won because of Genius's rookie mistake. Hard to say if he definitely would've lost man, game would have to play out. I know he was 2 behind on armor but significantly better micro could compensate for it, and if he held on for a while the upgrades would even out. Granted genius had more colossi but genius had more archon so if he were able to bait some free shots he still might've done it. And yes, genius had the extra base starting but, idk man PvP you can't say for certain there was always a shot nani had even had genius gotten range

I mean Starcraft 2 is a game where when you make more mistakes than your opponent (let's say, with coefficient based on the importance of the mistake), you end up losing... It's called playing worse than your opponent, no matter you beat him on another aspect of the game. This is a whole and thus I think being well everywhere is better than being incredible on aspect A and awful on aspect B (at this skill level). I'm talking about games, not skill in general.

Upgrading thermal lance means 1 less colo for him. Naniwa has archons support. One less colo + 2 armor ups down but having more archons, it could still go either way. Well-said

You should have saw the comments when he lost the first series to Genius. People thought he was good as dead and weren't afraid to voice it. Naniwa is so fucking good!
