Considering that all the actual evidence has shown that Terran was too strong, was Blizzard really supposed to buy the subjective argument that Terran players were "Just Better" and leave the game alone? At the same time, I can't disagree with your sentiment about the mentality of Terran players. Now, they certainly wouldn't throw a game with an inferior strategy -- but I can imagine them masochistically trying to use an outdated strategy when they're mentally unbalanced in a series so they can say to themselves "SEE!" Overall they are not the most accomplished, but they are the most accomplished in the GSL. You know, the place where Mvp plays his best and for a long time where players were seeded was based on how well they did in the 2010 GSL Seasons back when nobody knew what they were doing and BitByBit strategies pushed Terrans super far on maps like Steppes of War. Also in GSL I think it's fair to say that at very important points, Zergs and Protoss players have made terrible blunders that would have changed the outcome of the touranment (MC picking Mvp for his group, Squirtle in Game 7 of GSL finals, Oz against Jjakji--I don't remember which game--but Oz would have won that series if he had played 100%). Mvp and other top players have stated that other players just don't play their best in GSL, Squirtle vs Mvp Game 7 is literally a perfect example of that. Protoss players can complain that "MC is the only P to win a GSL," but at the end of the day, there is no reason that Squirtle did not win that game. There was no balance in the end of that game.

I remember in his all-kill of Zenex back a year ago when he was floating well over 1k even on 50-55 SCVs, but he was microing around dropships and splitting like a boss. same, i still see him floating like 1k in the midgame in recent games. i was always impressed with his micro.

It's because unlike, say every terran in Slayers, he doesn't ever queue more than 2 units. Like if you actually watch an MMA game closely, even during his high points results wise, he'd have like 4 units in all his raxes and winning because of fucking awesome army movement.

Personally if i'm talking about somebody being Code A, I am specifically talking about them starting the season there. And I was not saying that Jjakji being Code A is bad, it's just that the question was asked regarding which Terran is not "slumping." Yes Code A is difficult and it is an accomplishment, but if the only Terran who is not "slumping" is in Code A then I think we have a problem.

Yeah, MKP has pretty much perfect Terran mechanics, despite having not that high of a raw APM number. You open replays from him in SC2gears, he has like 20% redundancy between APM and eAPM. MKP's mechanics are so efficient :D Mechanics at least are not what is holding him down atm.
