What I find odd is how Europeans are competitive amongst each other, but mention the word "US" and they all rally and band together against 'murica.
Might be an inaccurate statement, but I get the feeling..

If a new player from America has a lot of skill, he will have good games @ international tournaments like MLG, and then he will have some attention, like for exemple Illusion when he defeated some koreans. A skilled player can find ways to receive recognition The thing is the teams won't get players that don't bring in viewers. If these players don't have teams that can sponsor them they can't compete in many tournaments.

If you compare it population-wise though, we really are pretty bad. its only equivalent to a few countries. besides, you have to take the culture into account ![]() US population is over half the size of EU afaik. The culture part is pretty big though.

Da fuq? WCS finals. This makes no fucking sense. Who is Daisuki. If it's NA finals where are all the good NA players? Firstly is USA finals. Secondly what good NA players? Sheth, Illusion, Idra, are all way better than these scrubs. If that was true one of those 3 players would be playing right now,,,, but they aren't,,,,, so you're wrong You're right, placing above somebody in one tournament means you're better than them. Absolutely better.

A skilled player can find ways to receive recognition Suppy had a decent MLG run and the forum monsters just shit on him for the most part. He also got a fanclub made, so that's a step toward being established as a more popular player. For all the people shitting on him on the forums there are probably a bunch of people silently noting his good run and gaining interest in him.

Look at the brackets of this tournament and the open bracket too. The new talent is there but people just want to focus on the existing veterans like this is Pro Wrestling. You have someone you've never seen and never heard, here in the grand finals of the USA where guys like IDra and Sheth participated. The WCS has finally let the doors open to good players that couldn't step through the doors because no one would let them in before. Finally, like Korea, the US has something to for unknowns to work for. Don't yawn and turn your eyes at this tournament. Learn about it. Educate yourself. quoting this so it gets more attention. Seriously, look how many players these guys had to defeat up to this point. Look at their names. These guys are doing it the hard way, practicing and winning, not attention-whoring, drama-creating or whatever more famous NA progamers do these days.
