Tier 3 units are awful unprotected. Colossus, brood lords, ultras, carriers, battlecruisers, thors are all taken out extremely cost efficiently if theyre by themselves. In fact i would say Thors are the best self sufficient tier 3 unit in that list

Those burrowed zerglings never got any mention from Wolf and Khaldor, but they saved the game for Zenio on countless occasions. I was going to punch a duck if Z lost after spotting so many drops. Eh, not really. He spotted the ground movement of the Terran army by burrowed zerglings, which was awesome. But his drop awareness was underwhelming because he got no overlord spread to provide vision around his bases.

Plus they need the same amount of fungals to die regardless if they have the shield or not.

Don't have math or anything to back me up, but I would bet that it would take an extra fungal with medivacs healing per second. It might not but seems likely. Edit: Yeah, medivacs heal 9 hp/sec. Fungals do 30 damage over 4 secs. Marines have 45 health w/o combat and 55 with. An issue arises in that medivacs heal 9 hp/sec focusing a single marine, but they spread out their healing over the army. They do heal 3 hp every 'heal', so lets assume the marines getting healed for 3 hp/3 sec or 1 hp/sec since thats about the time it takes for a medivac to heal all the other marines. Without combat shield: Marine gets fungaled, takes 30 damage, gets healed for 4 hp. Has 19 Health Remaining. Gets fungaled again, dies. With combat shield: Marines gets fungaled, takes 30 damage, gets healed for 4 hp. Has 29 Health remaining. Gets fungaled again,Has 3 health remaining, thats an extra fungal. Obviously some crude math with the medivac healing rate, but the medivac would only have to heal the marine twice within the 8 seconds ( Each heal is 3 HP) to live with 1 life with combat shield.

Went well, but he didn't prepare enough for the obvious counterattack... He went bio/tank vs heavy mech and kept having bad trades and semi-awkward positions. Didn't see the game against Seed :'/
