You have to apply when you enlist for your military service. Only one or two players are actually admitted to the ACE team each season or so. Last time, Kal, a former player of STX Soul, was one of them who passed the test and got on the team. When their term is over on ACE, they have to leave the team. | ||

It's a team full of progamers currently enlisted specifically in the Korean Air Force, not any other branch. You play with them while enlisted, and you get reduced practice time due to normal military obligations, but you still get to play Starcraft professionally in the KeSPA leagues under Ace. | ||

Basically, Progamers doing their military service can choose to play for the Airforce ACE team during their service. I don't understand why they sent out Flash in SC2 vs CJ, but in Brood War vs ACE. I would have done it the other way 'round, personally. | ||
