Scarlet was a man, now she's a woman. And now everyone is giving her extra attention because she's a girl. She plays showmatches vs other girls. What would happen if TLO decided to become a girl, would you pit him against other girls? Would we see extra publicity for him, articles in newspapers how girls can compete with the best?
I wish all the best for Scarlett, but she's not really exactly the same as other girls.
(In athletics, Caster Semenya (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caster_Semenya), was subjected to gender testing before she could continue competing with other girls. In SC2, a transgender is suddenly "such a good player for a girl".)
I'm really not trying to provoke, I'm just saying my opinion. If someone thinks I'm not seeing something, please explain it well. As far as we know she's always been a woman, if only mentally. Don't let aesthetics confuse you. I think a lot of people just need to look into what transgender actually means. It's really quite fascinating stuff. But can you really define gender by what you feel like inside? Does the attributes, chromosomes really matter less then you feelings? Do not take this the wrong way, I am not calling transgenders crazy but there are people that within consider themselves as other things. I saw a on outsider a year or so ago a program about a girl that considered herself as being a Cat. Are we therefore supposed to see her as such even though she is obviously born a human. Were is the line drawn, who draws it? What defines gender as a whole. And why do we need to make it this hard. Why cant we simply call it what it is, an aesthetic gender change. You do not actually change gender, that is currently impossible. * and I am discussing this out of interrest in the subject and how people reason nothing else. The wrong forum though but its come up so.. It helps when you differentiate between sex and gender. So yes, you can define gender by how you feel, as it isn't about how you are physically equipped, as far as I understand. So basically, your gender identity can be different from your biological sex, which I imagine can be very frustrating to deal with (feeling trapped inside the wrong body), and thus you can undergo treatment to physically change into the sex you desire to be.
I was about to say this.
There are so many people on here, and other sites that do no know that gender =/= sex
It must be fucking awful feeling like a woman, thinking like one, but trapped in a man's body.

Ok, quick question: Is "User got slapped in the face for this post" a real (although ironic) mod edit? Or did you just put that in the original post?

Heh, I doubt the mods would ever write that someone got slapped in the face. He did that himself.
Good luck ladies!

Looking forward to this. Hope it's going to be good. I think scarlett will win.

Everyone needs to act "politically correct" (such thing does not exist). And you just said the true words. Like hell this is about being pc. You want the privilege of posting in a community and interacting with the players, you'd damn well better show the players respect.
Insulting a player for who they are, what they look like, etc. is not allowed. Period.
So go take your oppressed victim bullshit somewhere else.

It's also worth noting that in Athletics being a man gives you alot more advantages than if you are female. Your body is bigger and stronger, thus allowing you to hit the 9.something second marks in the 100m, or throwing for 100m in the javelin. However in video games there are no inherent advantages to having a male body. Your arms do not help, your torso and core strength do not help either. Therefore we can make a big deal from this because video games like sc2 are cerebral, and as she has the mind of a female and not of a male, that makes her female in the world of e-sports!
Anyways, looking forward to the match...can't wait to actually see Scarlett and aurora play! As demeaning as it may sound, could we have regular fvf show matches and call them cat fight sundays?

It seems this theme of transgender / transsexual is a little too complex for the SC2 community.. no surprises really.

Scarlett completely rolled Aurora in game one on Antiga. Making the smarter decisions and having better control all game long, finishing with roach hydra over mutalisks.

I'm not sure how anyone else thought of that, but there seems a pretty decent skill gap between the two.

Game two: Scarlett wins with a fast bling rush on Shakuras (Shake-your-ass?) Plateau. Aurora completely unprepared.
2-0 Scarlett.
