Did you watch Nestea's games today? He played quite bad. True that ^^ he played pretty bad. I don't know what's wrong with him, the one moment he looks almost as secure in his early game and decision making as first half last year when he was the best player, and the next match his micro looks like Code B level -.- He needs to get his act together... DRG played way below his standard as well, but he'll bounce right back, I'm sure.

Nestea should have just 2-0ed Virus oh well... I'm hoping HotS gives Zergs more dynamic play that don't make them look so easy to be taken advantage of.

great play by MC

Im calling it: MC, Parting or MKP will take this GSL.

Nestea played well till he lost the 2nd set to Virus and things started to spiral out of control.

..and why is it, that there are so few "elite" zerg players? Could it be, that zerg is harder to play? Or are we just once again reverting to what has been repeated since release: "zerg players are simply worse, there is no balance issue".

I really liked MC's choice of builds.

Time to create the sad zergling page?

Aiur fighting!! PvZ is favouring P at the moment. PvT is the hard one, because early-midgame T has the advantage, and lategame P has the advantage so it's kind of wonky. PvP also contributes to the problem - most PvP snipers aren't so good at PvT and PvZ as the ones who aren't good in PvP, unfortunately. This means that a PvP group would produce the best PvPers, but not necessarily the most all rounded players. You're spreading misinformation, as shown by recent graphs, protoss has advantages in both the early and late game vs terran, having trouble only during the mid game, and most protoss players would agree that PvZ is their hardest matchup. Really? I must be missing some of the recent information, then 0_0 Mind giving a link? The March winrates showed P comfortably ahead in PvZ, and the winrates over time from MLGs showed that Terran trashed Protoss in the midgame then Protoss got far ahead in the lategame. Is that outdated now? I can't seem to find the thread, but it was based on a huge amount of data and pointed out that toss did indeed have advantages in the early game, which came out as a shock at first to most people, but actually makes sense if you've been watching the recent games, terran seems to get really strong once medivacs are out and continue to dominate till the 15-16 min mark.

I would say the simple answer is, "they are harder to play." Due to the fact they are exposed to pressures. You think about how easily a Protoss can forcefield or make a wall to keep things out while they macro up, and Terran of course with their wall offs and great defensive units.

Oh. My apologies then if that's true, thanks for telling me without being a dick about it

No sad zergling threads! You've just won a GSL!

The Sad Zealot was created during the 1/1/1 era, whereas this time, like it or not, the reason there are so few zergs in the Ro16 is because there were not very many in the Ro32, and most of the ones who were there quite simply didn't play good enough to advance. (Like both DRG & NesTea way underperformed and deserved to get dropped down)

It's like the worst game ever played by Nestea since open season one Every zerg gets some kind of comments like this after playing against Mc this year. It was not those zergs' fault. MC played well, but he didnt do anything spectacular other than macro it up. At the same time Nestea built a bunch of units and a-move into collosi ball two times. gg. even you may put up a better fight
I agree with you. Nestea did make too many mistakes. It was like Mc was ready to play one of the best zvper and then he found that he did not have to try that hard to win somehow. But to be fair, every single zerg played against Mc this year just made mistakes somehow.
With Nestea'out, it seems zerg is not a problem for toss this season anymore, can toss win this season will come down to their pvt. And Parting is happy.

that I actually refuse to believe. Shit was imbalanced as hell for zerg back then. The maps probably more than anything. Still can't believe I'm actually getting to play on Daybreak, Tal'darim, Ohana, in the present when long ago I had to deal with Steppes, Jungle basin, Delta Quadrant, and close positions...

Hmmm, watching the pre-game show for today and MC stated he might choose Maru or Leenock.
I'm thinking Genius is going to pick SuperNoVa, MarineKing will choose July and then PartinG/MC will pick up Maru & Virus. Don't think any of them will want to play a PvP or TvP so July will probably end up choosing NaNiwa.

It was once he go to the late game in that second match that he started to fall apart and never really recovered. His games against MC, I can't say much about the first game, but the second game he played pretty terribly.
But overall I don't think you could say he was horrible today. Some good games, some bad games. Unfortunately the bad games cost him Code S.
