I doubt this, MC had a high sentry count. he would not break through in time before MC's tech units kicked in. I concur, couldn't see any exploitable gap in MC's play tbh, maybe some very unorthodox play could've worked, something like roach drops everywhere.
MC's is the best PvZ player in the world right now, because he just hits his forcefields perfectly all the time and hits the timings (to expand, to tech, to push, etc.) exactly. Zerg has to do something really special to beat MC. The Problem for him is, that there are only 2 Zerg left but he may be able to choose at least one of them. If you look at the Protoss players right now, you have a lot of experts in one recent matchup, but not many well rounded players. Parting is a beast in PvT, but suxx at PvP and as at best mediocore PvZ, MC is undefeatable in PvZ, but loses to nearly every Terran and his PvP is nothing special either. Oz/Huk have both insane PvP, but no brilliance in the other matchups.... Genius is still the most well rounded protoss player, and stands alone in this regard (and Naniwa might come here right after him).
But I was really impressed by Virus' play today. He played so well, he never thought he was able to. He completely deserved the first spot in this group, no gimmicks, no allins, just playing better than the other 3 guys!

I was talking about Nestea and DRG, who did play not up to their usual standards. Did you watch those groups?

when did leenock and how did he get the name 'Prince of War'?

I think Parting can very well make it to finals as long as he faces terran only (except MKP/MVP) to finals. We'll see at group selections tmr!

Because he's a tad chubby and has amazing unit control, like July. He's just a lot jounger, so that's why he's called the prince of war.

looks like genius is going to win this season, He has probably the best pvp of everybody here, and crushing terrans is not a problem for him.

Aiur fighting!! PvZ is favouring P at the moment. PvT is the hard one, because early-midgame T has the advantage, and lategame P has the advantage so it's kind of wonky. PvP also contributes to the problem - most PvP snipers aren't so good at PvT and PvZ as the ones who aren't good in PvP, unfortunately. This means that a PvP group would produce the best PvPers, but not necessarily the most all rounded players. You're spreading misinformation, as shown by recent graphs, protoss has advantages in both the early and late game vs terran, having trouble only during the mid game, and most protoss players would agree that PvZ is their hardest matchup.
Really? I must be missing some of the recent information, then 0_0
Mind giving a link? The March winrates showed P comfortably ahead in PvZ, and the winrates over time from MLGs showed that Terran trashed Protoss in the midgame then Protoss got far ahead in the lategame. Is that outdated now?

Would love to blame this on balance but Nestea and DRG did play bad. Horrible in fact.
Also, aside from July, Leenock, and Curious all other zergs in code S this season are kind of mediocre. I mean really, is it any surprise that BbbongBbbong and Zenio didn't make it?
Zerg really only has a few elite players(2 of which fucked up terribly this season) and some potentially good upcomers in life, lucky, and Symbol tbh.
edit: oh yea and we also lost Losira QQ QQ QQ (fell wayyy off)
edit: and Seal <3 he's good too

Statistically, Oz and Squirtle have the best PvP. Not sure who's actually the best but the stats certainly don't hurt either of their cases.

PvP is the only match up that hasn't been played in an Open season/Code S final.

Don't forget Seal!
Seal killed Nestea Seed and Mvp in a row in the GSTL this season :D

if somehow genius, parting and oz end up in same group tmr, gonna be tears.

It's kind of like how MC used to be the only truly good Protoss player way back in the day, and when MC screwed up, Protoss prospects simply looked terrible. Now it's happening to Zerg, but with DRG and Nestea simultaneously screwing up.
